I do not live in the states, but didn’t the ruling just make it a local matter instead of federal? I do not believe they made it illegal or revoked the right altogether, and also it appears the trigger laws that went into effect were written in such a zero sum way because no one really thought it would be overturned. From what I gather most do feel that with time states will adopt more sensible limitations like no abortions after 15 weeks as an example.

I do not see how holding a vigil within a game will work towards moving the needle any quicker since it sit local issue now isn’t the proper means of doing such things on the local level?

This is correct. All the supreme court did was essentially give the decision back to the individual states, in line with the constitution and de-federalise the matter. While some places have made it harder or illegal, this varies wildly by state and its a bit disengenious to refer to it as an "abortion ban". So the opening premise of this thread was incorrect from the get-go.

I think the bottom line is that regardless of opinion, political activism in games isnt something we should allow. Because let's be real, if OP logged into FFXIV and all over Uldah there were Pro-Life protests, MAGA etc theyd probably want them to be banned. Same thing, just coming from the other side.

Well, they still are. And apparently the GM team are working hard to keep it that way for us, so I figure we should be more thankful.

This remind me of that little interaction in Skyrim in the Riften Inn. The owner tell the preacher to go preach in his church and let his customers sin in peace. No one want to hear about the world is doom when eating dinner.

She gave her opinion on what she felt was right. People didn't agree, arguments ensued and now she's backing off because there's no way to come to an agreement on this. She didn't start some "crap" contrary to what you believe. You didn't agree with her and at the end of the day, that's fine.

But when she decides that the discussion is enough, that she wants to close her thread and you continue on despite the fact that she's had enough, I think there's an issue. An issue bordering on harassment. When someone says they're done, they're done.
