No it doesn't make sense. Did you try keeping your own human ears tucked and squeezed in what is meant to be casual comfortable accessories as you go about your day? That'd be even more uncomfortable for longer, perked up animal ears.

They do this out of laziness pure and simple. If they cared about lore and fantasy faction at all the hats would adapt to at least make the clipping look less jarring and they wouldn't keep adding stupid cloaks that make tails clip horrendously.

Because the Miqote player model was designed from the beginning with things like that in mind, and the Hrothgar/Viera ones werent, and now Squeenix is pulling the budget from this game and its too much of an effort for them to care about it.

It is a bit disappointing that the headgear can't be worn by Hrothgar or Viera... Hell... We've known it's been in the game for a few months now... And you know it's a problem when a mod maker made a mod for it to be wearable for hrothgar and Viera before it was released.

Just like ears working with the new hairstyles it was done within hours. If we go by the same timeframe I give it t-minus 2 hours before someone comes flying in screeching about how it's an engine limitation or how it'd overload the servers.
