Do you mean one FC house per DC? Or do you mean prevent accounts from being in multiple FC's? Even the devs aren't that alt-hostile.
Assuming the less ridiculous interpretation, how do you propose that should work?
If I join an FC with an FC house on one world would I not be allowed to join any other FC on the DC with a house? I'm sure CS would be thrilled with the mountain of bug reports that would cause.
If the FC doesn't yet have a house but are in position to buy one would they be prevented from buying it because I'm part of the FC? Would you really expect the devs to stoop that low?
Assuming "no" to both then what happens if both FC's collapse and leave me as the only active player? Eventually I'll become the GM of both. Would I be forced to abandon one of them? What if both of the FC's are seasonal and I'm just the caretaker? How fair would that be if either came back to no FC house?

The current system is not fit for purpose. No amount of reallocation is going to address the severe lack of supply. Even if all FC housing was converted into personal there simply is not enough.
I'm not making excuses for anyones failures. How is it Yoshi's fault that server hardware is just about impossible to get a hold of?We need to stop suggesting more layers of bandaids to keep this sinking ship afloat, we need to instead push for a fix to the housing that involves enough supply for everyone.
A billion dollar corporation should be able to achieve this.
Raubahn Ex was a temporary problem, and fixed in the first patch. Let's stop making up excuses for Yoshi's failures.
Do you realise that sometimes there is no clear easy solution, or simply sometimes the answer is just no.
They try to supply us but its slow going. Could the design have been done better? perhaps but we simply dont know

Most of posters here are rational.
They don't have any single clue on how server infrastruce or corporation works but they will choose to bury themselves into idea of billion dollar corp should be able to do anything.
If you are using their logic, US as strongest nation on this Earth with most advanced medical technology and accumulated wealth, why are they not offering free Public Health care to their citizen who is paying tax?
They probably cant even answer that
I don't buy the community-invented excuse that this task is impossible because an endless number of servers are needed.
A player should use a fairly steady amount of server resources in terms of CPU cycles and RAM, instanced housing requires disk space. SANs and NASs can be obtained. The shortage isn't as bad there for top name enterprise grade storage solutions.
If I am inside a house, or inside a dungeon - it's still me using my cycles and memory bytes. Instanced housing, needs diskspace.

And those problems ended up fixed.
Servers wouldn't need to handle unlimited instances. If a player is in one instance, they can't be in another. That means at most servers only need to be able to handle the number of instances equal to the number of players online at a given time.
If servers were incapable of handling that many instances, then Trust would not exist. Squadrons would not exist. Solo duties would not exist. All SE has needed to do is make sure content flow is designed so that every player isn't trying to get into an instance at the same time (what happened with Raubahn Ex).
Most of us understand the ongoing hardware problem.I'm not making excuses for anyones failures. How is it Yoshi's fault that server hardware is just about impossible to get a hold of?

Here's a better question: why choose a system that makes inefficient use of that hardware when it comes to player usage capacity (wards) when you could choose a system that utilizes it much more efficiently (instanced housing). That ward is always sitting there on the server whether players are present or not. Instanced housing only gets loaded when a player wants to enter and the instance is removed when players are no longer present.

Actually, it is. The most obvious point, is the buck stops with him on game decisions, including hardware. This has been and will continue to be, a complete failure and lack of planning.
Secondly, hardware has been used as an excuse EVERY. SINGLE. EXPANSION. SE can only use that excuse for so long about not having/obtaining hardware. They used that excuse even when hardware was simple to obtain, and anything excessive could have been used to expand housing, testing turned into production, Data Centers, Worlds, or a hundred other things that can easily be utilized for this game. And now, it's the perfect scapegoat all while hoping that no one would remember release of said expansions and how they needed hardware.
Third, the housing system is absolutely, 100% pride of the Director getting in the way. He is so stuck on neighborhoods; he flat out refuses to get rid of them. I even offered a solution to that with minor adjustments to the existing neighborhoods while getting instanced housing, so I'm not just bitching about crap decisions, like a good person, I offer a solution to the problem. However, until the pride is addressed, the necessary changes to housing will not take place.
Yoshi likes his failed neighborhoods concept even if it makes 99% of the playerbase who wants a house to themselves unhappy.
The level of mental gymnastics you will do to rationalize and justify every single thing wrong about this game and how the devs are handling it, and try to spin it on being the players' own fault instead every single time, is genuinely impressive.Just to let you know, everything on this forum will end up as fault of Yoship/SE

Well, I am more mature, understand what is going on around the world, and also non stop learning and adopt to changes, this is why I didn't struggle on Frontline or Crystal Conflict
I also don't expect any Japanese gaming firm from Nintendo to SE has capability to provide stable networking environment to support current FF14 player size with that outdated server infrastructure .
Just because FF14 is making money for SE but failed to realized all of other SE's recent games flopped and there is another gigantic money sucking black hole called FF7R tribology also showing people don't understand how corporation works
It is same logic, US is strongest nation on this planet and in control of global wealth but not offering free public health care, why?
