Absofrigginglutely not. You don't need 6 people to enjoy an FC. I never have more online anymore now than 4 because people have stopped played. And my level 30 FC has been around and had a house for six years. If we're getting into talk of what FCs are entitled to exist, then my small FC has a lot more right to exist than any new FC that auto-invites people for numbers. This is not the way to stop shell FCs because not every FC is a small FC.

You need 3 members to create a FC. I think the necessary change is to enforce three active members for the continued existence of the FC. 6 active members might be a bit much for the average friend circle.

We don't need more restrictions for a system that is already too limited and largely restrictive by default.

I wouldn't call a 3 member requirement restrictive. That already exists, it just isn't checked ever again after a FC is created.

And what about the ability of alts to share a personal house? They talked about this in 4.2 saying they were looking into it and we're now 4 years later and nothing. I have 4 level 90 alts in my FC on Balmung along with some close personal friends. I have no interest in a personal house there given it's limited and doesn't let me access my own house with my own characters. I don't garden and even though I have a workshop we don't do anything with it currently.

When I started my FC I had 6 members within a month 3 moved on and with only 3 there's no chance to get a FC house and if the other three left I am a dead FC so I decided to save my Fc and make alts that won't leave. Two months later the other 3 did leave, but by then my alts were up and running. Are you still calling me a shell?

You have multiple alts and also friends in your FC. I don't think that classifies it as a shell/fake FC. That sounds like a proper Free Company centered around people.

So what are people supposed to do ? Get in the line of 100+ people for a small plot in lavender beds ? or 500 for a decent medium ? Is that your solution ? For reminder, each lottery cycle takes 9 days, that means you get 3 chances a month to get a house, in a pool of over 100 people.

Yes. Single Person FCs are just trying to cheat a system that distinguishes between FC and Personal Housing.

No. I completely disagree. I'm on just about every night. I'm happy the FC is there for my friends who aren't on as frequently. My FC is designed for mostly solo players. We can join each other when we're online or do our own thing. We can log in when we feel like. There is zero pressure to join X or Y like we had in other FCs, or clique issues, and we get the benefits of an FC like storage or the buffs or gardening or airships/submarines. When we got smaller, we decided we didn't want to recruit heavily to build back up because we like it this way. And we're just as valid of an FC as any other out there.

It takes 3 now to make an FC but people can leave. And we should be free to find what fits for us with an FC in this game, not forced to stay in a situation we don't enjoy.
