Sanctuary Island - Housing Hope or Doman Enclave 2.0?

Hello Everyone,

So, I've been thinking... As I was browsing through the thin shallows of Information we have on Sanctuary Island, and odd though occurred to me...

First, what do we know about it?
- We have a nice picture with the WoL on an island, surrounded by pets with basked of fresh produce
- We know you built there something
- We know it will instanced, but we can visit our friend islands
- We will be able to make some gil on the side

So while I know that a lot of us are placing our highest hopes into sanctuary island to be ultimately instanced housing (which would solve a loooooooooot of problems, and i am all in favor for), another possibility is by far more likely:

I think what Sanctuary Island will boil down to in the end, is the "Doman Enclave" of Endwalker. Essentially an instance which will most likely work like the beast tribe reputation system (or well the Doman enclave): It levels up and with level ups structures will be erected automatically at every given milestone. SQEX probably will be adding one or two mini-games for the novelty factor, consisting of mechanics we know from Stormblood to now, or even better - daily quests which are reflections of the daily beast tribe quests.

So by the end of it, we potentially will have another limit of 40.000 gil per week we can claim from a donation basket or a similar entity off the island, to brush up or thirsty gil purses.

Here's what I think happened.

I think it originally was supposed to be Doman Enclave 2.0, yes. Something exactly as you said. A tribe-type situation where we do a little jig every day and the place 'levels up' and we get some goodies along the way. THEN. It also featured the added bonus of people being able to have gardens there in substitution for those who whine about wanting a house for gardening reasons but can't get one. I personally THINK that's all it was originally supposed to be.

But when the news stories about it started spilling out, everyone ran with their own made up delusions of what they thought it would be and somehow the general consensus with no input from Yoshi whatsoever became "Oh, its going to be housing". Well, the man isnt blind. I think he saw that and and started to panic-at first, he tried to ease everyone off of that via telling us in one of those streams to please lower our expectations (which clearly did not work). Now, we all know that men tends to take things hard. So...this leads me to believe that after he saw people STILL!! INSISTING!! that it was houses, maybe, maybe quite possibly! He might have decided to try quickly adding more to it to try making up for what a disappointment it would now turn out to be-through no fault of his own, mind you!

Because we went from the announcement of it..to him asking us to chill...to him completely avoiding the subject altogether for the next like 3 streams lmao. Literally just the same picture every single time with "more info later". I think they're trying to roll with that punch. I dont know though! This is all just wild speculation on my end. Am I HOPEFUL it might be some kind of farm-type-housing? Eh! It'd be cool. but I wont get too ahead of myself. Really I just still think it'll be a farm tribe, so.

Considering how hush-hush they're being over it, showing any gameplay, giving any details?
Just don't expect anything worthwhile. It's going to be another "fire and abandon" system.

Sorry, but the Devs are partially to blame for being so vague and secretive about it since revealing it as a major piece of the expansion.

It's mostly because with the recent Housing lottery release being a dumpster fire, people are hoping Island Sanctuaries can serve as an Instanced Housing stand-in.
When it's likely going to be more disappointing than even that.

So am I going to be able to use outdoor furnishings on this farm so I can make a ghetto Jurassic Park? I have all these dinosaur and reptile minions and no where to put em. Don't disappoint me Yoshi.
