I have a sneaky feeling the OP will pull up another news link about a BOT paid app for another MMO , then compare it again to use of plugins ff14 has , rather than the paid BOT apps it has, unfortunately , completely ignoring the responses as is its wont.
@ OP pray Return to the Walking Sands
"So, what are you in for?"
"Eh, I mugged an old lady and pulled a knife on a guy in a bar."
"Damn."
"You?"
"I made a client-side modification to an MMORPG titled Final Fantasy XIV which made all player and non-player characters look like Lalafells."
"... What?"
Mortal Fist
No. They should be worrying about RMT, housing being a complete mess and getting Eureka back to a state where people can actually complete the content, not taking down random people for rearranging their UI or putting a hat on their bun.Again, I believe Square Enix and FF14 have been extremely patient with certain gaming communities involving mods, leaks, and etc. However, it\\'s 2022 and other MMO gaming companies are taking action, and bringing these individuals to justice and prosecuting them in court like with Activision (Call of Duty) vs CxCheats.

A quote from the article, "CxCheats offered an array of methods*for cheating and hacking your UI, from aimbots to making your radar bigger, with cheat menus retailing for $60, all of which have been removed from the store."
I believe this prosecution is very similar to Square Enix case and FF14 gamers broadcasting illegal UI mods and leaks. I also believe Square Enix should go after these individuals and websites hosting these illegal mods and leaks like Square Enix has done in the past with leaks of Deus Ex in 2011.

But like... have you seen them?
Pure evil.![]()
and then the prisoner was shanked for being into kids, lol.
Let's be fair, I doubt the average prisoner knows what a Final Fantasy is let alone a lala. Show that to them and what do you think their line of thinking will lead to, lol.
I would like to highlight that even if the unwanted mods are provided for free and not condoned, the mods are deemed illegal and a copyright infringement.
http://mttlr.org/2012/11/gaming-mods-and-copyright/
A quote from this article, "mods are “legal” only insofar as game developers suffer them to be so; the moment a developer finds a mod distasteful, it can be found to infringe copyright."
The invalid argument that \\'free\\' mods are legal over paid mods in very misleading.

What was that thing Xenos said again, about how we better thank banned streamers for making SE implement better UI qols in the future?
I can't wait for OP's words of gratitude to the 3rd party tool community when SE finally decides to do something like, idk, being able to tell incoming phys/mag dmg from bosses.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
That you're taking things out of context, literally in this case. Anyone who reads the article can see that. And that you're just trolling.I would like to highlight that even if the unwanted mods are provided for free and not condoned, the mods are deemed illegal and a copyright infringement.
