Dream scenario: NieR Replicant trial crossover.

Nier already had a whole 24 man raid, meaning there was 3 massive cross over on 3 different patches.
And last patch we even got the mount. I think it's enough and time to move on to other cross over.

Especially after that final raid, area with big white cubes, most mechanics being in or sides dodge.

Not everyone likes Nier. I know it's very difficult to digest, but the game doesn't stick to everyone.

I would love more NieR content in FFXIV. In fact I had made a thread suggesting a crossover event with NieR Reincarnation (https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...tion-Crossover) which is the mobile game as that game itself is having a crossover with FFXIV but it was received rather poorly here on the forum. It seemed like a lot of people are upset with the fact that the ShB alliance raid was "taken up" by the NieR Automata crossover so they basically don't want any more NieR content in the game of any kind. I'm personally a huge fan of NieR and I'm gonna take every possible bit of NieR content in FFXIV. The NieR raids are my favorite, the NieR glam is my favorite in the whole game.

I think another crossover with any of the NieR games would be amazing as long as its a side thing which doesn't take away from any of the "original" content so people don't get upset. I understand people who don't like it taking up original content from the game because they're not NieR fans, fine. But I don't understand the ones who are against it in general. Hell, even if they add some glams/weapons/mounts to the MogStation for real money I'd be fine with paying for them too. Literally any option is fine by me. I also don't think the "just go play nier" argument is valid as its entirely different because we want it in THIS game and we already know they're willing to do it. We usually just want glamour and mounts and most of us NieR fans are willing to pay real money for them anyway. And you can't say that NieR items "don't fit" in with FFXIV as we have all sorts of glam, weapons and mounts in the game, thats not really an argument either. The devs have decided that it fits so it fits.

Long-term the Nier raids added content that will age much better with the game, I think significantly more people will continue using the Nier glam down the line than they will the glam from any other Raid ( the Pod mount is cool too ).

That said tho I kinda do get not being a fan of an entire Alliance Raid being dedicated to it, we do get other events that don't do that and I think in the future a Nier event would fit better there.
Nier is at least more relevant to FFXIV than most other games even tho it's kinda not relevant.
Because at least it's a SE published game.
A lot of other publishers do crossovers between their IP's too.

I was about to say that I'd like a Tomb Raider crossover and some Lara Croft glam but I now remembered they sold that IP off lol.
I think maybe people would be more receptive to other FF crossovers which has happened in the past, uh... Quite a lot infact.

I'd say the soundtrack and bosses were really cool, the environments got a bit repetitive tho.

I think this is a pretty severe overexaggeration, we haven't had that many crossovers over the years.
By that logic they'd be doing constant crossovers during holidays too.

A lot is because the horrible implementation left a really bad taste in people's mouths. We lost the chance to get relevant lore about the First or somewhere else on the Source in the Alliance raid for that expansion. That wouldn't have been as bad if Yoko Taro had remotely tried to connect the raid series to the setting. Even in the laziest way possible like saying this was the secret reason Ronka was so powerful or something. But he didn't even do that. He didn't care. He was probably forced into the crossover. So he completely phoned it in and disrespected this game and its players while doing so.

That's why I don't want to see a single thing related to any series he does in this game ever again. Even the new pod mount is too much. I want them to just let it die and focus on the things that enrich this game, not try to sell us other games.

We had a Nier crossover already and it wasn't good other than the glamours. I would like a Vagrant Story cause it is thematic to FFXIV since it takes place in Ivalice...and they are already using enemy/music from the game...so why not commit?

That's pretty much a non-starter in an argument now
Practically anything could be thematic to some aspect of FFXIV now since there are so many sci-fi elements woven into the lore

Yeah well they are using the exact enemy types, music, and the location of Ivalice already. I don't see a reason other than perhaps license issues to not have it in the works.
