I wish the keybind that hides other player's names and makes me unable to click their character would also work for their chocobos. Sometimes they just wander over a quest npc and that's a bit annoying for no reason.
YES! Hide them! Why not? At least let me hide EVERYONE in Ul’dah!
no sorry too many solo contents already. And i don't want to be seen as air by others when i walk close by.

Being able to switch at any time is helpful for situations like wanting to see important npcs who are covered by a crowd, taking screenshots, improving performance on low-spec computers and hiding people who are harassing you.
Maybe its use should be limited to non-combat areas since it would not make sense to see enemies aggroed by invisible people. Party members should also always be displayed. Apart from that, I support the idea of this being an option.

The fact they require you to automatically dismount when talking to an NPC, unlike WoW where you can be on a gigantic mount standing on top of the quest NPC (now repeat that for 80 people)Man. Remember when, several years ago, trolling on an overworld jump puzzle was so severe by people summoning massive mounts and their chocobos to be intentionally disruptive, that the devs had to add a zone where you couldn't use mounts or summon your chocobo around the puzzle? That's all I think of when I read people saying "but it's an MMO, why would you not want other people there".
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

BACK IN MY DAY WE DIDNT AUTO DISMOUNT, WE HAD TO DISMOUNT MANUALLY UPHILL IN THE SNOW BOTH WAYS TO COERTHAS
