The question/Issue is...why play an MMO, if you want to take away the MMO part.
A Hide All PCs and Glamour is literally trying to turn the game into a Single Player game where nobody exists, like a single player game. And then Dungeons and trials are treated like Multiplayer sections. Sure, whatever.
Its not really a "Right" to say I want to hide other players and Glams just because you dont like it.
Again, just why play an MMO, if you want to be ride of the MMO part, which is a Social Gaming space?
You dont want to deal with people? Then just dont.
So.. why play an MMO until you get to the parts where you do?
Why do you own a car that can go 200 mph if you don't always go 200 mph?
Why do you buy hotsauce if you're only going to eat a little at a time? Why don't you drink it with your meal?
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
....you dont know what a Troll is if thats how you label me.The fact that you keep ignoring how it isn't a permanent removal, and people can still socially interact when they want, tells me that you're a troll. I saw several people who made the same argument as mine, and you never bother to acknowledge it.
Do you understand the concept of immersion?
Yes, it's a right because hide players/glam is client side. You can still wear whatever you want to wear and impress people who cares about those things. Go afk in limsa and show your glam, no one forbid you. People who already doesn't care about glam won't even spare a glance at you anyway.
I understand the concept of immersion just fine, and I haven't ignored anything, never even said anything about Permanent removal. Just that its silly to want to hide people and glamour in an MMO.
...none of these are counter-arguments lmao.
You are playing an MMO from the second you log into an MMO.
There is a speed limit
And you wouldnt eat hotsauce all in one sitting...its bad for you and it ruins your meal. And..I guess you CAN drink it with your meal if you are one of those people...but what does this have to do with playing an MMO?
So from your responses you've clearly got all battle effects turned on right?....you dont know what a Troll is if thats how you label me.

Yes Actually.
Ive played the Tales of Games Series. So Im pretty used to Battle Effects littering the entire screen and sometimes not being able to see a quarter if not half the things happening.
Every single one of these examples are something you can use but you don't have to use ALL of or all the time..

I have a fast car, but I don't always top out it's speed.
I enjoy spicy food but I don't put hotsauce on everything I eat.
I can play an MMO but I don't always have to engage with every single person in it around me and I shouldn't have to.
Just because you are using "thing" doesn't mean you need to use ALL of "thing" all of the time.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
When I play them, yes. I even leave it on during Raids, & EX Trials and PvP.
But I dont play Savage very often, Im pretty casual, I mostly try that content with friends.
Haven't done Ultimate yet myself, lots to remember, frankly abit intimidating for me.
because they want to.
because...... they want to!
you dont need any other reason. people can do whatever they want if it doesnt affect others, and hiding other players client-side would not affect others in the slightest.
if someone doesnt feel like interacting with others in a given moment, your character being visible or not would not affect the outcome.
Are people being paid to post all this garbage?
Yes we get it, sqex willl never implement this sort of thing because players being forced to see other players is one of the backbones of their revenue model
Being forced to see other people's glams, weapons, titles, always results in more engagement in the game
In sure you personally are 100% immune to propaganda, but not everyone is, and I'm sure there have been sprouts who saw someone with a glowy weapon pay more sub time trying to get the same weapon
This is why 3rd party mods is the only way to have options to hide players and hide cosmetics because it would hurt their bottom line directly
Again, I am sure you are 100% immune to these sorts of tricks because you are oh so much smarter than the average idiot, but it works.
So my question is: are you being paid by sqex to gaslight people by arguing that being forced to see other players is a necessary thing for mmos? Because it's not.

Because there is a speed limit. Unless your are in an isolated area where you can cause no harm to others.
Same here, sometimes you can cook and eat foods without adding Hotsauce. Can ruin the food itself.
Plus heartburn and Indigestion sucks
This is True! Just dont! I dont disagree with this at all and havent argued against it! Not sure why its a talking point.
Also true! But if this is a talking point for playing an MMO it doesn't really make sense. An MMO is a Social Space with other players typically.
You dont have to socialize with them or really interact with them, but they are there as part of the experience of playing an MMO - Mass Multiplayer Online.

--Got it
--Never argued about it effecting anybody. Just weird to want to play an MMO and get rid of the MMO part. Not like saying that hurts anybody. Simple question and opinion.
Is that seriously a thing?
How much does it pay to just ask a question?
