Apartments exist.
There's uhhh 17,280? apartments per server if math is correct.
While perhaps not enough for everyone, not everyone has an apartment. I'm sure you can find yourself a nice place.

No, deal with it like a reasonable human 13+ years of age.
If you don't / won't / can't take part in something an MMO features, you just go about your business. You don't need a setting to fake like the whole thing doesn't exist.
It's not healthy to ignore things you don't necessarily understand, things you cannot participate in, or things that make you feel upset. If you want to grow, you need to process this stuff too. Take the good with the bad, so to speak. (See also: folks that need ignore lists with 1,000 spots on them. Same concept.)
Anyway, again, no. You need to learn how to deal, not ignore. That's how one grows and matures properly. You stick your head in the sand and 'Ostrich' every thing in life you don't like, you're going to end up being one of the angry. And we reasonable folk can see how well it's going lately for the angry.
Play the game, or don't. Have this housing situation be a game breaker, or don't. But face facts, don't lie to yourself; if playing FF without easy access to housing is a deal-breaker for you, then don't play. If it isn't, then just get on with things. Jealousy isn't a good look, but ignorance is worse.

This stupid argument again. There is no limit to the number of people who can run dungeons/raids etc. Everyone can do the content, and if they have issues clearing, you can get better at playing the game so that you can clear the content. Housing has a limit to the number of people who can even do the system. There will always be a large portion of the player base who cannot interact with the system because of the artificial limit that SE put on it through wards. Yes I can try to interact with it but beyond the RNG of winning a lottery I have no way to improve myself, get better gear, etc. to make it so I can actually complete content and get rewards. It is 100% RNG on whether you can interact with the housing system vs you can always interact with the dungeons/raids and it's on you and your skill whether you can clear it.You mean, invest time and effort doing a dungeon again and again and again on the off chance that maybe the mount will drop, and maybe you'll get it? Sounds a lot like entering the housing lottery to me, except entering a housing lottery takes a much smaller investment of time.
Not everyone can do the hardest dungeons, either because of hardware limitations (e.g. bad ping), time limitations (e.g. they don't have enough time to spend on the game to get gud, get into a static, and farm the content), or physical limitations (e.g. palsey). But everyone with the gil can enter the housing lottery, and gil is easy to get in this game.
Sure you can. Level alts. My spouse won her house this time by placing three bids on it, one for each character she has on that world.
Oh, and of course, you can also have characters on other worlds.
And you missed the point again. It is always RNG if you are bidding against anyone else. There will always be people who have a house and those who can't get one because of RNG.
"Just level up your Luck stat" lmfao
gotta be kidding me with this
people really are out here acting like getting lucky took skill
This is a new level of salty. You know you can still sell the housing loot and go to venues, FC houses and friends houses? Most people who seriously decorate a house would never just slap items that dropped from a dungeon or something in their house anyway.I wish there was a mode that allowed you to just completely opt out of housing in this game since that is the only content that completely locks out about 90% of the playerbase.
So a mode where there is no housing loot for me to obtain/roll on, no links to the residential districts, no mentions of housing in pf. As if this game never had housing.
An option to allow 90% of the players who will never actually have access to housing content, to simply opt out of it should be great. Even better if that can come with a feature of a slightly lower sub fee, or an extra retainer or something.
