With how fierce the competition is now, coupled with an already too limited supply (especially for solo players specifically since they decided to give most of the wards to FCs), turning it back on wouldn't accomplish anything. Even with house or two popping up at random, hundreds/thousands of players would lose the lottery. I say leave it off. It would be nice to see SE being pressured to actually do something about the situation, though I'm not foolish enough to believe that they will.

People don't seem to realize this.

I've seen players harassing other players because they won a plot, leaving nasty messages in their message books, demanding auto-demolition be turned on, suggesting things like taxes, taking houses away from those who have multiple, taking FC priority away and so on... There's a selfish "but I deserve a house more!" mindset with some players where they really just want it to be taken away from someone else and given to them.

There are hundreds of players bidding on single plots. Countless tens of thousands want a house. Even if we took all the above suggestions, we might free up a few thousand and run out of houses immediately.

You still won't get your house even if you rip them away from other players. They're limited. Until they address that with instanced housing or somehow double or even triple the number of plots, that will always be the core issue. Limited supply.

why are you supporting people with multiple house. Who cares if they grandfathered in. It's called being a selfish sob that doesn't need them. Like Xenos has said they should lose all of their houses and all gil be deleted to be fair. Yes auto demo should always be on and instead of 45 days should 7 days you can't get on not our problem you got issues with your private life.

Not our problem you failed to get a house either. The salt in your post is unreal. Until they address supply issue all the suggestions to yoink houses from people who have them will do little to nothing to fix the problem.

Auto demo can stay off, ty. Even when it comes back on you will see the odd house come up, mostly small, and chances are you won't win it. Large would pop up once every few months if that because people know to log on. I have had my private mansion for 2 years, 7 months and 16 days. My FC mansion is now a bit over a month old? Before that it was on a small plot for 7 ish months. I will have these houses till the day the servers die and many other players like myself are the same. You can move the goalposts all you want, you still are not likely to get a large house.

Cry less to take from those who have and instead cry more that they supply more to everyone. They will never make demo timer 7 days, their own devs couldn't go on holiday without losing their house. Maybe you don't have a life and can log on every day of the year, but others do and SE know it ^^
