People don't seem to realize this.

I've seen players harassing other players because they won a plot, leaving nasty messages in their message books, demanding auto-demolition be turned on, suggesting things like taxes, taking houses away from those who have multiple, taking FC priority away and so on... There's a selfish "but I deserve a house more!" mindset with some players where they really just want it to be taken away from someone else and given to them.

There are hundreds of players bidding on single plots. Countless tens of thousands want a house. Even if we took all the above suggestions, we might free up a few thousand and run out of houses immediately.

You still won't get your house even if you rip them away from other players. They're limited. Until they address that with instanced housing or somehow double or even triple the number of plots, that will always be the core issue. Limited supply.
