It's certainly as on the nose as one of the latest side quests essentially highlighting that even minor characters are now buying into the idea of a 'global' Eorzea.
Wait, how the name is absurd though? It's literally what Lyse wears when she starts getting into a leadership position.
I imagine it's a bit of banter poking fun at the fact that Lyse was handed power a little too conveniently in a way that followed the trend of just sticking someone who the protagonists are friendly with into a position of power and influence. Which, in turn, robs us of any meaningful tension or disagreements where any of the nations we visit are concerned.
I may be wrong, though!
They don't need to remodel for every race. All but lalafell inherit from Hyur Midlander, and the Hyur Midlander-outfit was already available, because Lyse is a Midlander. It baffles me that they won't go a little bit extra length to make separate pieces when they need to remodel it for every race already AND the 3D meshes aren't visually connected so in theory there wouldn't be some sort of "Oh we need to re-draw the meshes for this piece" when, let's say, making the shoes its own unit.
[...]
The only work they've done is: Merge the three split midlander-pieces Body, Legs, and Feet into one Body-outfit, and make a Lalafell-model of it.
Given lalafells are one of player-races, they probably have some auto-remodell from the base midlander to lalafell, which would mean even less work.
This truly is one of the laziest work they've done, and have the audacity to ask $15/10.50€ for it. They didn't bother to add male-models, or make it dye-able.
They'd make more money if they put more effort into it, so they're really shooting themselves in the foot.
I bet even people with dude characters would buy and wear certain pieces of it if it was unisex.
They've been lazy for years though so I sas this one coming![]()
New name idea: Lyse's nepotism attire.I imagine it's a bit of banter poking fun at the fact that Lyse was handed power a little too conveniently in a way that followed the trend of just sticking someone who the protagonists are friendly with into a position of power and influence. Which, in turn, robs us of any meaningful tension or disagreements where any of the nations we visit are concerned.
Being Undyeable is not acceptable but is a normal trend nearly all or all story npc gear are like that. but i am getting worried about the one piece trend, this is 3 Scions/exScions gear in a row that is one piece and ofc there was Omega outfit in between
Should be more like Ida dress seeing that Ida used to wear that dress
or traditional Ala Mhigo dress

I am happy with the outfit I got it mainly for the hairstyle and as a Midlander it looks really nice. I wish the dress was separate pieces and dyable.
I am also a big Yda fan but I do like Lyse and I adored Papalymo so all good <3
Omega I'm honestly going to give them a free pass on; the outfit is designed as a seamless one-piece visually, so I can admittedly see leaving it that way. (I mean, most options for breaking that one into pieces would turn out really visually weird anyway...)
But this outfit has no such excuse.
