Its undeniable that FFXIV healers are baby proofed, but for example, there isn't an ability in WoW where you can manipulate another partymember player's HP in the negative. And wow healers aren't exactly babyproofed.

Mostly because it gives other suposedly allied players the ability to remove your capacity for survival beyond messing up mechanics.

Rewinding time is an interesting mechanic when the player has control over it affecting their own character but when it affects others it starts to get really iffy.

I do agree that "time flavoured" mechanics would be great, but more in the sense of delayed healbombs or healing that starts weak over time and then becomes much stronger at the end of its duration. Like Earthly Star and Exaltation, such abilities require you to plan ahead, which is a great playstyle for healers as it rewards knowledge of the fight and proactive healing.
