Disadvantage for male characters

I agree in part with this thread in the sense that male glamours do tend to look god-awful more often than female glamours. Being a male Roegadyn\Hrothgar is just an exercise in frustration. And even on other races I've tried out, while the glamours looked better overall, they were still rather plain and mute in comparison to the far more elaborate and beautiful female versions.

But it's all entirely subjective. While it's true me and my friends have said they'd prefer female versions of certain sets more often, we've also admitted some sets look downright terrible on female characters. If we've had more female sets than male sets, then it's probably coincidental. Female characters, unfortunately, tend to be good selling points either way, so it'd be natural there was a focus on them in some aspects. But for the most part we've had male-related sets, no doubts about that. It's just the quality tends to change, but again, that's subjective.

You dont like the design of both hien and gosetsu outfits but some people like and have them.
About the Hien hairstyle, yes you dont receive the hair, the same is with the Ryne hairstyle.

Again, this is all about your personal taste.

Tbh I don't want to argue with female char players anymore about it.

But just for you....

Unisex shop haistyles: 3 (Aymeric although it's a male char, Alphi, Lightning/Snow)

Shop hairstyles for males: 1 xD (Thancred, not usable with Viera boys)

Hairstyles for females: 3 (Y'shotala, Minfilia, Lyse - usable with Viera girls)

So females can use 6 hairstyles from the shop, and males can use 4. From that 4 are 3 somehow unisex.
(Viera females can use 1 and Viera males 0. Hroth idk)

If you really think that's fair..., well :/

You got 9s outfit as part of the raid. And that is no countering all of the vet rewards with 1 outfit.

9s stuff is all role locked. We didnt get an alternative to the female 2b coffer, you know what im talking about. In that case why did we get a 2b coffer if the copied factory female sets are all 2b's set?

Overall im not surprised that the female characters are pandered since the leading dev plays a female lalafell.... and theres always been a bias in regards to what he plays, see the recent blm pvp backlash for an example of that. I just wish with how much yoshi p cries about equality he would put the money where his mouth is so to speak because theres an obvious discrepancy.

No im not ignoring it. What does more male protag outfits have to do with anything when we have more female npc outfits by a mile. It's common sense,facts are the females have more stuff. Not sure whats so hard to understand about that. Again, how long did it take for them just to implement a damn stubble for males?Again, not surprised its female characters coming over here saying they dont see a problem lmao. Typical.

While there is more feminine glamour than male on a strictly numerical basis, a substantial amount is geared heavily towards emulating certain kitsch appeal; I've honestly largely stuck to HW/ARR glam for that reason...when I do remember to glamour. That said, agree men get shafted when it comes to promoted materials and some artifact gear.

Hopefully now the populace has evened out a bit on the male to female ratio we might see more parity - prior to Endwalker I think some servers had a 70/30 split in favour of female characters on most servers versus 60/40.*

Aymeric, Cid, Papalymo, Urianger, Thancred, Snow, Alphinaud(m/w), Omega M, Tidus, Hidabrand, Hien: 11 sets for males

Minfilia, Minfilia 2, Lyse, Omega F, Ryne, Alphinaud (m/w), Y'shtola 1, Y'shtola 2, Y'shtola 3, Krile, Alma, Yuna, Blackbosom, Yda, Scion Liberator's Set, Lighting Set: 16 sets for females.

But I am not sure if I forgot something. I also did not want to start counting. It's just, that it's again the same thing for me. New items in the shop. And again just stuff for females characters. It's always disappointing for me. I would wish that they make items for female 'and' male characters, when they add new things in the shop.

Well, statistically speaking the majority of the playerbase are female characters... so from a business standpoint there is nothing wrong with having 5 extra female sets.
