On the first lottery my number was 3 and the winning one was 2. This time my number was 6 and the winning one was number 20.
Oh well, "back to the drawing board Pinky"...

So much for not having to worry about first come first serve in housing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

While this new system is better than the old one, it still sucks. There really just isn't enough land for the amount of players that want them. There was a plot in the Mists that had about 150+ bids on it when I last looked Sunday evening, which is insane. I wish there was (a) an option to just globally bid on a plot size, and (b) an option to withdrawal your bid one time; after two failed attempts at the lottery I'm not looking forward to the third+ bidding rounds as less property is available to equalize and distribute the bids so we see an absurd number of people bidding on plots.
I won mine, was #1 of 2 and #2 was my FC-mate/partner. We bid on an FC house because it's more useful and we could actually get it. People talk about FC wards being empty but there's nothing stopping you from reaching the minimum required FC members and getting one.

I almost hate the fact that those people that made FCs to bid on FC housing may have missed the first round but after the delay, they are ready to flood the FC ward so any hope of the devs making the FC wards available to the rest of the public will be pointless since this round and the next one will have said FCs scooping up the leftovers from the first and second lotteries. It really makes you wonder why SE was bragging about EW when there are a lot of issues surrounding the expansion and the handling of the game once you start looking too hard into the game. While this new system is better than the old one, it still sucks. Well Not really. I don't wanna leave my current FC to form a new one just to get a house. Also you need to rank up your FC to a certain lvl and be with it for a certain amount of time before being able to bid on an FC house. Which is not a solution at this point.

I place bids 2,3,4,5, and 6 and 10 was drawn we lost so the multiple bids by alts didn't work was a fair fight and we lost is all I can say

sagacious
After hundreds of hours placard spamming and getting railed by lottery today, the results are me quitting ff14. and devs giving FC's triple the amount of wards didn't help either
I mean for people who primarily play with a small group or even by themselves.
