At the time of writing, the current players on Steam for Final Fantasy XIV Online were 48,410 with a peak of 80,581 in the day.
As per external websites such as mmo-population, the number of subscribers the game has is around 35.8 million and the daily players in all are around 3.4 million. But note that this number isn’t precise since it also includes the count of inactive accounts. I don't play on steam did you account for me? How many active players are not on steam? did you account for them? I was also thinking that 48k number isn't the same people logging in everyday it is 3.4 million people of which 40 to 80k log in everyday and that just steam. FFXIV is right and those FC lots will be taken by the player base period. Who just got schooled? you did.

Lemme put this kid math of yours to sleep, cowardly choice to not quote me btw, but let's handle this myth of yours shall we?

30 days is the Demolition timer so a player needs to log in and walk into their house once to avoid the demolition, so you don't gauge this by "Daily players" but Monthly.

Steamcharts puts the monthly at 54,905 obviously this is only Steamcharts, it does not account for the SE Client log ins (which far outnumber the Steam Client log ins, even post merger) nor is steam charts a truly reliable analytic, how many of those accounts are bots or secondary accounts for example? You can only guess.

But let's take your "math" and Steam charts, we will be generous here and halve the number since Steamcharts only accounts for log ins on Steam, not from what Datacentre they're from.

So Half of 54,905 = 27,452.5, obviously you can't have a .5 so we'll round that up to 27,453 active players on the NA Datacentre that log in through steam during a 30 day period.

now we'll take that number and x3 (this is obviously a gross underestimation as the SE Client players vastly outnumber the Steam Client players and without an actual figure from the SE Client, we won't know the true figure so all we have is estimates)

So 27,453 x 3 = 82,359 concurrent players on the US Datacentre in the 30 day period

Remember that's an underestimate, it will likely be higher.

So your kid steamchart math just showed that you should probably stay in school.
