I recommend achievement hunting!

I don't recommend achievement hunting but rather mount collecting. SE adds mounts to things they want people to do, knowing that it won't pressure people to do it who just want to complete quests and do it once.

For example, there is a mount for doing all of the blue mage content, collecting triple triad cards, winning 100 or more of each pvp match, crafting and gathering a lot in the firmament, hunting a lot and ocean fishing a lot. There is a mount for doing beast tribes. Mount collecting takes you through a variety of different content and grinds which take a lot of time if you want something to occupy you after clearing all the content.

They are old ones and help newer players catch up, but I still wouldn't get them that way because I wouldn't complete the beast tribe ranks or see the story.

I've actually been trying to unlock achievements as I try to level my jobs to max. It makes the journey longer but at the end of my journey I'll feel way more accomplished and satisfied.

I casually try to do the tank mounts whenever I feel, long road if I do not do that without deltascape 3 PF but I like switching up tanks (currently got both panther mounts from DRK before 6.1)

...and I still need to do 1.000 leves for the ps4 platinum trophy, that is boring damn it lol

I too recommend it. But I understand that completionism isn't for everyone.

I just finished crafting all my Pactmaker gear with help from my FC and will return to that soon. I want them Immortal Flame titles! Flames for life!

Achievements don't give enough (or in most cases any) rewards for me to care enough about them to actually chase them.

This is pretty much my personal take on achievements in FF14 as well. I get that some people just like to see the number go up or see that checkmark pop up when you complete something, but I tend to gravitate more towards rewards that I find compelling (which, of course, means some things I find compelling will get a Big Meh from others). I'd be more inclined to chase achievements in FF14 if there were more rewards for doing so, and the achievement shop has gone completely forgotten for years now.

Once you get a mount, it's enough and aiming higher is boring and tedious. Take 500 battle leves or doing the tank mount grind twice for the achievements after the mount. You could spend that time doing something new that actually gives you a reward you can show off.

It's impossible to 100% this game for most players, there are many achievements that are forever unobtainable. Not to mention the sheer amount of work required to even get some of these achievements.
