All advertisements/screenshots for any club that anyone sees were edited after being taken via photo shop. No mods were ever used.

All this was made clear a few months back in the update to FFXiV's rules and policy.

It seems that some have forgotten this update or never bothered to read it. Some like to take portions of what is said through the updated policy and twist it to excuse certain behaviors.

OP taking this complaint to the forums, is not the best avenue to file their complaint. If OP feels violated, then they certainly have the right to report it to SE Support Team as suggested in the newest policy. Posting about it here does little. All it does it is bring up the same old arguments. Maybe that was OP's intent in doing so.

However, those that are posting in objection should reread what is said in policy. Those venues run a high risk of violation of policy as well, when inviting the public to attend since they have no real way to verify a player is of age or intent. Being inside a house with many outside attendees present doesn't constitute it as a private setting. Same as with an FC and whoever they decide to recruit. It takes one mistake, one wrong word, one bad expression to the wrong person and they are in violation if reported. So just keep that in mind or lest we forget.

Unless you come across an absolutely braindead venue, no venue would have the gall to have open ERP where the public can see it. For the most part, they'll keep it SFW. Anything explicit is discussed in private (tells/party), on discord, ect, where it can't be reported. So unless they made a mistake, yeah... it'll be ugly. But even then, most venues would either kick out the offenders/report/warn them if they started it up openly.

since I see a lot of people against 3rd party tools like ACT. I think SE should also start banning people who use 18+ mods on themself and other people. it's creepy honestly. the fact that a lot of people are okay with this but not a simple tool that helps you improve is crazy to me. I'm fine with simple mods that help the player experience but, I don't think 18+ mods help anyone honestly.


I also think that SE should ban any club that is 18+. since this is a 16+ game IIRC. people in these clubs are weird and should be held accountable for the services that they sell. I tried to report the ones where they obviously sell 18+ stuff for gill...but that's every club now. I don't get why gms and SE are okay with this. to me this is much much worse than any other 3rd party tool that helps you with raiding since its morally questionable.

Mods ARE ban worthy dude. And 18+ mods harm literally no one. I don't understand this wave of sensitive folks that think anything remotely sexual is creepy. In this age of expression you'd think it'd be the opposite no? Also hate to tell you but...18+ mods can help the player experience as well...thats what mods in general are there for.

You call these club folks weird yet who are they going out of their way to bother? Nobody. I've been to plenty of these spot and alot of them are just gatherings of folks dancing n drinking beer. 18+ doesn't always mean it's sexual. Some folks just don't want minors around. SE doesn't need to change a thing. If it bothers you so much what randoms you don't know are doing thats something you need to sort out.

I'm not really referring to ERP between consenting adults here. I speak of even emotes that are deemed vulgar when used or subtle suggestions made in /say that suggest an invitation to participate in said entertainment, can be against policy and reportable. To be mindful of those.

They also remove the FFXIV watermark which is something Yoshi specifically brought up as an issue. A lot of those posters go very out of their way to follow ToS.

Answer in order :

-Yes, they are already bannable.
-18+ is against ToS if it's sexualy related, in fact, even before that. For exemple, simulating sexual action with emote (Yes, it's against the ToS). Of course, you can't do 18+ Violence related action, because the game engine is not coded for that.
-Clubs are not against ToS. Only if they respect ToS. And I hope they do.
-Asking for 18+ player, effectively, isn't against ToS, because you ask for a certain age. But again, see the 3rd answer. As long as you respect the ToS, it is not bannable.
-I sincerely hope that never happens. If one person ever do that, I think he will get quite a bad reputation quickly, and will be banned as soon as possible.

EXCUSE ME? Absolutely not. You will not touch my nightclub, and your ignorance is showing.

- First of all we a have strict no public ERP policy. People have to ERP in PRIVATE MESSAGES ONLY., because that is what the devs have told us. ERP IS ALLOWED, but it has to be done with private consenting adults.

- Minors are not allowed, simply because I am twenty seven years old, and do not want to intermix with crowds that I shouldn't be involved with. Saying a club is 18+ does NOT mean that its a sex club. It might just simply be the adults acting responsibly, and not wanting to be responsible for keeping an eye on teenagers, therefore avoiding any trouble. It's a common sentiment for adults to not engage with teenagers at all in any capacity that is beyond relatives.

Holy moly mind your own business. If you act like this irl, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that you were unpopular. It is not also every club, and even if it were, MIND YOUR BUSINESS. It's not hurting anyone as long as there are no minors involved, and again there are many reasons to say that you're 18+. We do NOT offer those services at our club. We just don't want to be responsible if any inappropriate incident that happens with a teenager and an adult. You sound like someone who is swept up in a holier than thou complex, and I absolutely loathe it. I hope you like being on every persons blacklist, because woooowwwwww.
