You act as if we don't know that other sources exist.
Except that, outside of other social media, actually, we don't know that they exist.
And here's the thing: am I supposed to care that someone else might not agree with what other people are saying? If so, how can I care if they don't make their stances known? Certainly there is social media for me to look at to see what other people are thinking in a general sense, but since Squeen is telling people to go to the official forums to give feedback and comments, and not saying that there's anywhere else to go leave the feedback and comments, then all I really should care about is the Official Forums and what gets said here.
And if a vast majority are saying one thing on these forums, with just one or two detractors popping up over time to troll the sentiment with their oppositional claptrap, then, while a true 100% unanimity isn't created, the sample is still not as insignificant as you're trying to make it out to be.
Or else the Dev team is, again, potentially lying or being disingenuous, of which we'll never actually know because we can't monitor them and they certainly aren't going to tell us.
