Ideally you'd have a complete revamp of the reward structure for the whole game. A new objectives window which shows all the prizes you've yet to obtain and multiple goals / methods to earn progress towards each.
Some goals might be deal X amount of damage in a single match, earn X amount of KOs without dying, capture X amount of ovoos in a single match, etc.
If they did this, it would likely be on the level of the bicolor gemstone mount because it's entirely too easy to cap on marks.

As for the OP, I felt overwhelmed and doubtful when I first tried pvp and saw the rewards, but this is something that's been in the game for years and I don't have anywhere I need to be urgently. Once the revamp came, there was some newfound hope and I finally got my 100 frontline wins recently. The point is all good things come to those who wait.

Just try not to get frustrated, you are playing a broken game and hope SE has a plan. The only good news is you can get a team of four and that makes a big difference. Specially if you can coordinate limit breaks, SMN have been getting kills like they readded slaughter.

Yup! why i'm cutting my time up and just going for a single win every Onsal Hakair day xD usually I can get a single win after 5 matches but man today hurt (got my win finally at 26/100)

fun fact for anyone who hasn't done the rough math, there are just about 90 Onsal Hakair within a year right now (unless it changes then idk) but my current plan is just getting 1 win every 4 days and hopefully it should limit my anxiety and i'll possibly be closer by next year (or done..... one can only hope) I don't wanna be doing this another year but I want that dang mount.

and as far as joining up with others, I can't/havn't been. I get very salty after about loss 3 and things just go downhill from there and I can't reasonably put someone else through all that, so i've been going solo so I don't scare away friends and loved ones.

Oh, and do ME a favor and switch from Standard movement mode to Legacy when you pvp.

*I'm aware this may be taken as "toxic" but as someone who has accumulated 941 frontlines in under 3 months, these types of players are extremely annoying to be with. Then, they hit you with "yOu DoN'T pAY foR mE sUB" and they don't pay for yours either or "ImagInE tRyIng tO wIn iN pVP" and get to ruin your frontline. In fact, those who que up once a day should be put against those who que up more than 5+ times a day for frontlines.

Only one problem with that: when something such as a pvp win is 100% up to chance, you can't "work" for it. No matter how hard a person tries to master the job in pvp, it doesn't matter due to the simple fact that a single person can not win the game alone. From teammates who don't know what they are doing, to enemy teams being far more coordinated that yours could ever hope to be, the pvp game is up to the roll of the dice. Stop lying to someone by telling them they just need to work at it. Their skill is meaningless in pvp.

I've won three FL games in a row across the past day or two by playing NIN and killing the enemy team. Want to know how I can prove that I was why we won? Because I can look at my Kills - Deaths, look at the "tactical points from KO" line item, and see where my 26 kills got us a large portion of the difference between us and the nearest team.

I've also had games where we lost by like 50 points; that's literally the difference between getting a few kills with an ult, or chaining my ult between 8+ people in a row.

If you play well, you will win games more often than not. Yeah, sometimes you get real paste-eaters on your team and ever since GARO came back I've seen a depressing number of people who are basically just walking around AFK, but that doesn't change the fact that you can really abuse the 8 points per KO income by picking the right classes. SMN and SCH may get you to the top of the damage charts but classes like NIN are the ones making actual kills.

I was just thinking 20+ kill people can greatly influence matches. Specially if they are kills at heavy contested points. It is a little bit of a shame no 8 man because if you couldn't lead an 8 man team to victory you probably aren't as good as you think you are.

Pfft, I wish. 8v8v8 with fewer nodes could be really fun. I'd *love* to play 24-man OH.

Getting tons of "kills" isn't really impressive as a lot of them come from being the lucky person that lands that last hit with 4-5 people beating on someone or stacking LBs with other jobs. No one person has a sizeable impact on any game unless they are doing callouts and leading the team with strategy. Even then you have games where half the alliance never listens and you get rolled anyway. Unless you are queueing with an 8 person premade frontlines is a total crapshoot atm and getting 100 wins is asking more then should be needed in my opinion.

Worth of a player in frontlines isn't simply determined by his last hits. Beside if you meet the right ppl you won't even get that many.

24er is only interesting with 24 dedicated players else its even more frustrating than 72er.
