Pride is not just a hard thing to swallow, but also near impossible after 10 years of milking a game with minimal effort. Even if admitting it could mean profit in the long run. It's not unheard of for certain game companies to work with the community to implement popular mods into the base game, but for an MMO i'm not sure if it's as simple.
Also, it might be hard for the Dev Team to swallow their pride and admit that some random person did a better job for free than their multi-million dollar company.

That's a gross oversimplification don't you think? There is a very small caveat to this... I've yet to seen a mod focusing on anything more than one, maybe few small issues at once. Said mods also don't always work properly out of the bag but people rarely care. Sometimes they also simply abandon their "creation" and nobody holds them accountable. From my understanding Viera's hat mod still doesn't come even close to include all available headgear but at the same time nobody will pressure the author. It's just how it is

For the love of...the first page and already it's been debased by a nasty post. Can't you all have some damn civility for once and stop being asses towards each other?
And yes. I know that they probably won't, but I want them to. If you bothered to read the Letter and NOT just get your info on the forums, maybe you'd realize an issue with their stance.
I'll even link it to the post. If you read the language there, then you'll understand my issue I take with the development team and Yoshida's current stance.
At the very least, there have been some replies that weren't entirely dismissive. Still, they really should talk with us more than just once every 3 or 4 months - it might actually help them in the long run if they team up with the modding community for aesthetics, not for add-ons, but for additions to the game that aren't copyrighted(since I'm aware some mods do infringe on that). Taking Little Timmy's homework and saying "Ha Ha I'm taking your work so I can take credit" doesn't sit well with me when it comes to UI Improvements that should've happened in half a year.

There's that way that's called feedback. Just by looking roughly at threads that get any traction lately the only time for last two months that a request for any specific QoL was posted here was after Yoshida's statement. Be it because they didn't listen earlier or because we got so used to just defaulting to mods to solve small issues there really doesn't seem much of that happening when it comes to QoL. It's not like they'll be able to just "Copy Paste" the solution since from my understanding the current plugins are worthless without Dalamud that handles most of the heavy lifting.

Yeah. And Feedback has failed time and time again because the developers refuse to look at anything that doesn't get 100s of Likes. And even then, they may just simply skip it. When was the last time we heard from the Community Team anyway? When they were addressing the whole Hrothgar ear cut situation? They still haven't bothered to do anything or even say they're acting on anything. It's a facade at this point to have community leads or managers if all they're going to do is just sit there and stare at the screen and simply go "I'll send this later..." then forget about it once it's been a week. There's no feedback loop except when the kitchen is ON FIRE.There's that way that's called feedback. - Housing was on Fire for years. Still is.
- White Mage was complete and utter garbage in Stormblood. Took AN ENTIRE EXPANSION to address Lilies and their garbage mechanic that made WHM very, VERY undesirable.
- 3rd Party Add-ons apparently are running rampant because of the 5ch brigade and their team NOW enforces their ToS when it's comfortable to, only to smash and grab for their tools.
- Healers are the most boring job in the game. Guess why? They reverted everyone to WHM without allowing WHM to progress in any way, shape, or form.
I'm tired of us not being heard. I'm tired of us simply being pushed to the side for later. SE is already selling out to NFTs when the market is crashed and is complete and utter garbage. If anything, their Community Management has been utterly disastrous on both ends of the spectrum, even on the JP Forums where it's their native language. They won't allow us to communicate with them either since they'll say "Go back to your own region" and naught else when it's an olive branch. We need inter-connecting communities through the Forums more instead of simply Discord.
Anyhow, excuse my rant. I had a bit of annoyance that was pent up just by reading about the "feedback" that is supposed to constantly been given to the Dev Team.
Here let me fix this post for you:
Credit to the people who clear content without the use of any third party tools, like the dev team themselves.
"Indeed, we’ve only released duties that we have proven can be beaten with the game’s standard features." - Yoshi P."

Damn dude you fixed it so hard it became about a different topic. Originally it was about the plugins that Square Enix are gonna implement into the game themselves but you just made it about Cactbot again. I'm genuinely impressed.
Not even mad, impressed?
You know, maybe yall could take some time to read Yoshi's response. js. I'll be taking a break from the game until this third party stuff clears up.

He won't do it. On one hand, yeah, Squenix is EXTREMELY lazy when it comes to adding QoL stuff, I am not sure why, not sure if it has to do with engine, budget or what have you(Though the way they usually word stuff is basically them not caring enough to add), but they are and I am sure they will be taking a look at a bunch of addons to figure out what they wanna add.
On the other, giving credit to stuff they deemed against ToS is counterintuitive, so I doubt they will be doing that.
