Why are you branding getting upset about hateful things as bad and wrong? Also the world absolutely can and has changed in order to accomodate the feelings of groups of people. What exactly do you think the Women's Suffrage Movement or the Civil Right's Movement, or any number of other social movements in the world were about? Times change and societies and people are meant to change with them, not stay locked into rigid beliefs. Not everyone has the ability to distance themselves from abusive people either. The answer is not to just shrug and say "Welp, abuse exists nothing we can do about it though so just try not to get into those situations to begin with." The answer is to aat least try and change things so no one will have to endure it again.

I'm not saying that there aren't instances where people overreact to things and blow them out of proportion. Of course it happens. But people here tend to falsely assume that it's always an overreaction every time a subject they don't like comes up.

Pepe is such an ambigious meme. I've seen pepe hillary, pepe trump, i've seen a pepe spliced with doge, and a pepe crapping on a Wojack meme. Pepe is a pretty open source meme. The only reason he's associated with the right is because the right seem to have some intense meming skills.

but... yeah... Right wing memes are more angry/hostile and as such they spark more anger and anger can cause things to circulate much more then hearts and rainbows.

Back to the topic.

Life is hard and knowing their a respite can be very attractive. Advertising as LTGBQIA+ can be an effective method to attract people. Additionally it can also work to filter some people out who are less supportive.

While activities in game should not include LTGBQIA+ sexually explicit topics, talking to some one about your girlfriend, boyfriend, non-binary, or platonic friend is going to happen. People cant help but talk about things they are happy or sad about. Relationships are major influences on your emotions.


(Clarifying:
Not mentioned sexual explicit because sexual explicit topics are happening. LTGBQIA+ is related to sexual orientation and it's a FACT. Florida and some republic talking heads have a habit of making every LTGBIA+ decision as a sex thing but that's FALSE.

The point is not all LTGBIA topic are about the bedroom (Look up the A if you have any doubt). Telling some one you like a boy/girl/other can lead to hate or disgust from certain peoples. While talking about a straight couple would not normally cause that same kind of response. You don't even need to mention the physical attraction or the way you show affection to get some nasty comments or snide response.

Telling a person you feel depressed because you were called a derogatory term in school, work, a bar, or walking down the street. Explaining that the reason was because of your boyfriend or girlfriend was with you, and being supported by LTGBQIA+ friendly community can help you through a hard time. While being in a FC that did not have any sort of advertisement you may not be sure of their political, religious, or personal beliefs, they may not feel as safe. And yes the rules should protect you.... But... Do you want to make someone who is uncomfortable with these topics uncomfortable? Do you want to report someone because they don't understand your love? Do you want to have the chance that some one might slip a "Joke" that's dated and insensitive? No one wants to have to call a gm to enforce a rule. )

No constructive conversations and understanding is what works, calling people bigots and isolating certain groups is the opposite of what your trying to accomplish, this just causes drama and resentment.

Also being naïve on the subject of the world is counter productive to this conversation its vastly more complex then you actually comprehend. Just because the "west" endorses an ideal doesn't mean the majority of the world subscribes to that way of thought. The contrary it's most likely less then 50% when you add variables like religion, laws, and region.
