what pisses me off is that besides not doing a good job, they don't buy from people who would certainly love to have their name on a big job, and they forbid us to use mods.

There's the kicker. You can't use mods cause they are against TOS. But some mods are improving the game, from mods that let you see specific debuff timers to changing some AOEs colours for the people who are colourblind to be able to pay. Other mods are visual enhancements like the colour saturation and lighting adjustments to make some scenes more excellent or chat bubbles. Others, as pointed out, give Viera and Hrothgar hairstyles and hats.
They recognised that some mods are good, but they chose to ban someone while at the same time saying they are gonna add the mod that got the person banned, they could either purchase the mods and add them in (with some refinement), or making it themselves. And leave the bans for those who bot, gill sellers or those ones who are actively messing with other peoples game.
