    Double standards of 6.1

So 18 wards were given to FCs and only 6 were given to personal. The devs obviously want to promote playing with other people and making friends with said FC if they give FCs more plots then personal houses.

Why is that philosophy not carried over to Crystalline Conflict? You can't party with your friends in casual or ranked and the quick chat just isn't enough to really coordinate. Why promote cooperative play with more FC plots, but limit cooperative play with almost no proper way to communicate in pvp?

pvp "communication" in general is problematic, even amongst "friends"

they likely decided this course was better than the alternative stacks of reports.

That's a bit of a narrow-minded way to look at it NGL.

Your description of CC omits the fact that people queue solo a lot. Getting matched up against a pre-made while being all-solo - or honestly worse, being matched with premades who do their own thing and neglect you - are things that happen a lot in a wide variety of PvP games.

Edit, oh how could I forget. Quick Chat feels awful yeah, but it has its pros. It's quick, meaning you don't need to make your own macros for callouts or stand in place and type. It also almost certainly prevents the insults that inevitably fly when things go south or someone messes up. Already you have Yoshida needing to tell people to stop sending tells after matches to players, or mid-match teabagging, etc. I can't, and don't want to, imagine the crapfest the chat would be.

With housing you don't need to cover up for an instance where it may be abused to harass somebody. PvP is an extremely heated and competitive environment in comparison so you need to tighten the bounds in case of people blowing their lid.

Not unless they made it so if you queue as a 5 stack then you will only get matched against other 5 stacks

The solution would be to have a Ranked Solo Queue with the chat restrictions and such, and also have a different queue for Teams. Best of both worlds.

if you want to PvP without Quick Chat then all you need to do is build a time machine and go back to when Feast was first released and see first hand how much of a toxic cesspool chat was

Also there was a team mode for Feast (you can still see the remnants of it in the Wolves Den) but I don't think it got anywhere near as much engagement as the solo queues. Believe it or not they once dreamed of having the Feast become an actual Esport. The fact that they haven't removed the team NPC altogether might mean they still have plans for a Team mode for CC in the works but I think community reception would still be lukewarm at best with how much rampant cheating still occurs in solo queues. Going up against one cheater in team of randoms is still winnable. Going up against a team of ppl exploiting cheats together though...

and final thought on the premise of conflicting design choices I do think there is an actual argument to be had in regards to the implementation of duty support throughout the entire game and the over assignment of FC wards. Based on their roadmap they've committed resources and dev time to ensure that the entire game can be played solo because apparently there are enough ppl playing the game solo to warrant that. So if they're doubling down time and energy to make this more of a single player game then why the bullheadedness about trying to bandaid the community feature of neighborhood housing wards. Just scrap them altogether and make instanced housing already that would be accessible to any and all of the solo players they're designing a single player game for

lmao what? Have you even touched Feast or are you from bizarro world? Feast was a silent wasteland because it was plagued by trade wins and buys that was arranged outside of the game. There was barely any actual communication inside it.

Anyways, just remove PvP honestly. It's hot garbage in this game and the community has proven time and time again that they will squeal and cry until their voice is lost at the slightest 'offense'.

Fireworks. I swear. This is a new level of pathetic.

Just make an FC just for yourself. You can get FC housing permissions in literally a day just turning in level80+ gear for Seals.

When they removed premade que from ESO bgs it killed the system. 5-10 minute waits turned into 1hr ques.

When the mode stops being shiny and new, and people have eaten their rewards, the ability to grab a couple of friends and play games won't be there. This is the worst decision they could have made for an otherwise great game mode.

Not sure what this has to do with housing other than the fact FC houses offer more functionality than a Personal; meaning they intend for there to be more access to these plots than singles.

The new PvP mode was always DOA once everyone gets their makai + series rewards.

Team play is what ultimately drives PvP modes and it's basically impossible atm.
