Final Fantasy XIV doesn't actually have that good of a story

1: Your opinion and yo uare entitled to it nothing wrong with that. This is an end to an 11 year old story. One of the longest ever told in a live service style game.
2: It is an aboslute immersive game story. I felt all those emotions over the past 11 years of play.
3:I can sorta agree here with this point. there are at times points where the story gets put on pause so you can do a story plot point or trial.
4: imho this has been one of the best FF stories for myself. Me being a massive fan of FF9 over all else. I think this story is quite on par with the top 3 FF out there but again everyone has their own opinions on it

The fact that there is much outrage over EW's story seems to imply that FF14's story is indeed overrated. It simply cannot keep up with greats like The Last of Us II.

To be honest, I only ever see people here complain about EW's story. Everywhere else people seem to enjoyed it and have a good time, me included, so I think its just this minority.

My opinion of EW Story is that it was okay, maybe good. 7 out of 10, probably. I don't like how Meteion came out of literal nowhere as the big bad who caused everything else, or how the "Final Days" only affected a couple zones for like 3 levels and that was it.
