Cactbot completely removes the necessity to ever learn entire aspects of many fights. You never have to learn to read the Spiral knights, Thordan jump positioning or Sanctity direction in DSR thordan1 if your group uses cactbot, because it tells you exactly where the safespots are without you ever needing to look at how the mechanic is telegraphed in game. Extensions like Trigg that are also popular allow you to bypass Titan Gaols in UWU almost entirely, which is one of the hardest mechanics in the fight for a group to do without third party assistance.

Anyone pretending like that isn't going to have a direct impact on the potential rate of a groups progression is being completely disingenuous.

WoW made it virtually mandatory to run mods because it was about the only way to get any QoL improvements to play the game. period.

As compared to XIV, where we've received, what, 4 minor UI QoL improvements in the last decade?

Oh wait, WoW players even using the default UI received more than that, too, in their last 10 years. Hrmm.

the western player base is not more "liberal" its that they are used to using them without repercussions. in fact, many western players think theirs is the ONLY way a game should be run.

So we've got a group A who believes that the playerbase shouldn't be actively prevented from making the game more polished for themselves and a group B who believe that the playerbase should be actively prevented from making the game more polished for themselves?

I followed this incident, I am Japanese but had to play in NA to be able to play with my friends, and sadly around JP community, it happens often, not only in game, but in real life.

But besides this, the only and major problem I have with all this situations, related do XIV, is the fact SE likes to make examples and not "do it right", like happened in 2016, when all the RMT and bots was over the top in major problem, they acted for 1 week, and them completely went silent and turn their heads like nothing happened anymore, if they actually worked to maintain the order, people will not get mad about it, but the way they handle the situations are just childish.

Why not just play the game as it is?

Because we all play for different reasons. My personal enjoyment with raiding comes from constantly pushing myself and having small micro-goals to accomplish. I like chasing a leaderboard and seeing my numbers improve. Without a DPS meter and a certain website, Savage becomes utterly meaningless for me outside Ultimate preparation. What's the point of getting stronger when it offers nothing? The base i580 Crafted gear is already hilariously overpowered for every piece of content released, and I'll get free updates come the following patch. Ultimate and parsers are the only two things that keep Savage relevant past the initial clear.

If I'm not mistaken I think there is an plug-in solely for rp/erp purposes for sentences lol..
