I would rather they worked on a proper fix that is fair to everyone than shirk on putting in the work and calling it a day, yes.

Weeeeell.....housing for all just isn't in the cards, so things already aren't fair. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But yeah, I wouldn't trust SE to implement a more involved system that ensured funds were redeposited without introducing more bugs. I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm ready for the next round of bidding to start.
