I would rather they worked on a proper fix that is fair to everyone than shirk on putting in the work and calling it a day, yes.Exactly. Despite them framing it as an apology, and it is to some degree, it's really more of a "let's just move on." Could they have devised some way to re-collect money from winners who took refunds before awarding them their house? Sure, but it would have likely involved even further work on a system that (hopefully) will never need that functionality again. Clearly it's not as simple as just "press the button to do the thing I want" despite what some people seem to believe it would be. It would also potentially mean a return to plot sales being open would taken even longer.
For all those complaining about the honour system payment, would you really be okay with waiting another month (or more) for some sort of resolution? Would you promise to not complain about even further delays? Be honest.
