Except Square Enix already have a policy against the use of third party tools, they just don't enforce it on a large scale. SE either need to start enforcing it correctly or alter the terms of service to something they're actually willing to enforce. This entire situation is SE's fault by never actually enforcing the strict no third party tools policy in ToS we all accepted when signing up to play FFXIV.
