Everyone installs add on's, plug-in's, ACT, dalamund, cactpot, and a myriad of OTHER things that alter the way you interact with the game. The way you see others information, the way you complete high end content, the way you farm, the way you craft, the way you glamour.

At what point is it no longer FFXIV, but a collection of add on's/mods that alter your experience. I look at current WoW players playing WoW...and I can't even tell what game it is anymore. The UI looks NOTHING like WoW to me, and it's a cluttered mess of things telling the player exactly where to stand or move to.

I DARE SAY....those that completed DSR might not have even completed it WITHOUT mods/add-ons or at best it would have taken them incredibly LONGER to complete it.

And to all of those that are getting banned for not listening to his words. Yet continue to STREAM with those said mods on....AND have the GALL to throw their hands up when they get banned!????? He literally told EVERYONE not to talk about them or show that you use them. Well I call streaming to the world....showing that you use them.

I commend Yoshi P for his conviction and follow through. I WISH I had a boss like him that can actually back up what he says, and has the balls to make the hard decisions even if it means EVERYONE will hate him for it because he loves this game so much. He even said that they will take the add on's and mods into consideration for future implementation, but in a controlled way so that it can be implemented in a professional way.

Will the game lose players for this....probably. Do I care...not at all. I played this game in 1.0 when literally 200 people were on the server...and stuck with it through thick and thin because I saw the potential from Yoshi P, literally like a couple weeks after him taking over it was literal course correction in 1.0, then 2.0. I left WoW because the developers REFUSED to protect the game they were making...and NOW look at it. Having a round table discussion saying literally EVERYTHING the community was saying for nearly a decade. Droves of people going back to CLASSIC like its a new game....back when it was good to have that feeling of what it was like before shit went so wrong.

You all had it coming. You pushed until it pushed back...
and thats why they didnt ban any streamers for decades
