Actually enforcement also didn't change. It was always the case of "If it's brought to our attention then we act on ToS". They didn't and likely still don't actively search for it. The unfortunate statement of world first race where leading group didn't even bother to pretend they don't use add-ons and subsequent YoshiP's statement (which only repeated what we already know aside of the "please don't use them in World First Race") triggered witch hunt. I really don't think FFXIV GMs/dev team had much choice but to act. Do I agree with their course of action? I'm not sure. I understand it but I don't know how O deel about it. Best I can do right now is to wait and hope this mess dies out soon.
