The old exp system can rot in hell, it ecourages solo play because to get a decent amount of exp you have to get alot of hits in if you were in a full party you would have to fight mobs 20 lvls above you or get 10 exp a kill.
Then there is the random factor, if you really like beating on mobs for 5-10 mins for a big fat 0 exp (happened more often than not) you must have a problem, I want consistancy with leveling, I want to kill a mob and know approximatly how much exp I will get, not one kill 500, next kill 100, next kill 500, next kill 0, next kill 0 etc etc.
Btw these were solo fights so yes I was doing my job, old exp system was the worst I have ever seen.
Pretty sure they are both character growth
Of course they would have to adjust it, Delsus
Bring back shouting in Uldah after every leve reset and 15 man behest parties. Everyone knew how to play thier class, and if they didn't they got booted!
Man the good days fighting mobs for 5 mins to get 50 spi forgot to mention that i have gotten 0 xp while soloing mobs back then. Just wanted to point that out. \
You cant give xp based on ability's. It would take so long to even get it remotely balanced. whats the whm doing, oh hes nuking and not healing to get more xp. hey tank you gotta voke, screw that my riot blade gets me more xp.
the current system allows you to earn xp as a team which is the way it should be.![]()
Lol i remember fighting a Hippocerf for 4 mins and got 0 exp that system was so awesome lets have it back... Now if the OP said something like lets make all exp from mobs 300 max then could go higher from chains and links then i would have mabye said yes.
I jest, my record for monsters killed in a row with no skillups was 4. 5 was the holy grail of gaming that I never got to achieve before this new, dumb, boring, crappy leveling system was added.
