It's always been a "use at your own risk" situation. If anything you should be asking for some oversight when it comes to acting upon mass reportings or similar situations where someone is being targeted purposefully. You and others asking for a defined list are just whining cause you want to find loopholes when their blanket stance on it is good enough, just don't be stupid about who you let know that you mod.

Also your numbers-shlorping fearmongering stuff was old two years ago and it's old now

This will further kill the category on Twitch as it is obvious streamers are being targeted. Constantly stepping around this issue and not making a list of approved addons and unapproved ones is causing a large amount of confusing in your community.

Most of us are adults so please treat us as such by making a specific list.
They don't need to provide a list. ALL 3rd pt addons are not allowed under the ToS. What more do you need? Is it so hard to comprehend? ALLLLLLLLL! As I said in a previous post if you are stupid enough to stream a ToS violation you should just lose your account.

Then square should ban everyone using addons not just people who stream it
They don't, thus the uproar the past few days

It's a convenient visual metric for some folk to use i guess, but as other's have pointed out -Twitch is absolutely not representative of FFXIV; I personally find it akin to the Steam folks looking at the in-game user numbers that the steam client tracks; it's a metric for people to use in discussions, or arguments.

That would be the case, but fine, they let some streamers do it with addons. It's petty to be hit by violations over addons that are just there such as literal monitoring tools and there's been grey examples and no concrete whats.

Any third party application, needed to streamed onto twitch is already considered a third party application if gaming keyboards have been known to be one. An extreme method isn't gonna solve it, it's not gonna bother anyone, so why even bother thinking about acting on it now?
Yeah, it's obviously going to need third party apps, but to assume it did give an advantage? What a stretch to the people who don't even do said content to identify if it's an advantage or not.

Then you have people like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRwP6RRJ-uE who went over months without getting pulled into the gaol because apparently it didn't get enough attention. They've done several reclears and all VODs about them have likely been purged except these few ones.
If they did eventually get dealt with, good, unfortunately, they've likely went ahead and made another character and no one knows what they're doing because they're obviously not gonna show up streaming again.

Equally witch hunters are a potential problem as people are going to go out and assume it worked in turn, harassing the target while at it. I don't even remember them accepting twitch/gifs as evidence in reports to have an impact, rather, having never accepted them as evidence.

The RMT bot counter at the sweeps? Not a great look when they were still doing it within those periods during those purges and that some DCs have bots still persisting way back.

I was always under the impression that FFXIV wasn't popular on twitch because either people didn't want to spoil the MSQ for themselves or because they didn't want to rewatch MSQ.

Supposedly, MSQ content is some of the most popular. It's the rest of the game people don't want to watch.

Possibly. My perception was the exact opposite. When EW first came out I noticed that FFXIV viewer counts on twitch were still quite low, and some people hypothesized that it was because no one wanted to see spoilers. But I also noticed when DSR was released, FFXIV viewer counts were pretty high, like in the top two rows of games when sorted by high to low viewer count.

Anyhow, we're going to see a boost to viewer numbers once Asmongold gets back into FFXIV when that ever happens.
