Yeah, I sure do enjoy the passive aggressive hostility present in this game because no one can outright call out anyone performing bellow the standards required to clear a duty.Their stance makes player culture so much more tolerable in this game. Playing WoW all but required add-ons so people could track how bad you were in their eyes and keep you out of whatever content was out. Having read these forums for a bit, I can guarantee if they were any softer on it half of you'd be making the game misery for the other half.
The "Improved culture" of 14 is a lie and anyone that wants to do anything more stressful then a roulette will be exposed to the reality of the situation real quick.
Also, the toxicity of WoW does not come from DPS meters, as someone who's played it. it comes from the massive waste of time inherent in that games design, when you stumble at the end of a 40min run and lose everything.
I have never once seen anyone be put on blast for low DPS unless they were straight up afk.

Then you sure as hell haven't played the game long enough then. I played that game for 17 longggggggg years, and let a group wipe for some reason, once or twice, and watch people try and call out the one that is low in DPS for the reason they wiped. Sorry, but I seen that scenario way too many times to believe what you just said. I get you may be trying to shame FFXIV, but using that example you just said won't work on one who has played WoW for that long and knows the ends and outs of it.

The streaming scene is not going to die. I doubt it.
What's going to happen is that people will just no longer stream their prog, stream it somewhere else privately (like on YouTube or using a category that isn't FF14), or just go into OBS and hide their mods.

So they cant stream w/o addons? Or because they don't know how to stream the game but not the ACT overlay? You don't need ACT or addons to stream at all and it adds close to nothing for the viewer.
As the Yoshi said "keep it to yourself and don't bother others" so don't public stream your 3rd party tools.
People who use triggers or programs to simplify the brain effort needed to beat ultimate are below the standards needed to beat ultimate.Yeah, I sure do enjoy the passive aggressive hostility present in this game because no one can outright call out anyone performing bellow the standards required to clear a duty.

And we all know it's going to be hiding mods in OBS.

Makes sense. You've got the kind of GPU power that I'd wager less than 1% of people who primarily game have access to. I was mainly referring to typical cards people have. Last I checked the 1060 is still the most popular card on steam, with a decent chunk still being represented by the 900 series cards.I get about 109 fps at 4k on average, sometimes higher. Now, I also have an obscenely expensive graphics card (in part because I also do machine learning work, and the chonky GPU helps with TensorFlow like you wouldn't believe), so it's definitely "costs more than a PS5". But it certainly does better than "barely" 60fps.
That aside, Valkyrie said "4K or 60fps", which I suspect is absolutely within the capabilities of the PS5 version; you should be able to run it in 4K (and give up some FPS) or it at 60 fps (and give up some graphical fidelity). Most PS5 games let you make that tradeoff, between "Performance" or "Fidelity" modes.
And you're right, looks like I misread what they said. Consoles can definitely do one OR the other just fine these days.
