They know this.It is why they will not come down hard on it.The FCs and statics that do keep it to themselves.
How many times does Yoshi have to say it.He would like you not to but if you do keep it to youselves.
And when it comes to a just released Ultimate you bet they know what you should be wiping too unless your getting a little info.
Plenty of people use ACT on extremes and even dungeons and world fates. Yes, dungeons and fates. It still boggles my mind.

I always find it interesting that those who don't do the content have the most interesting takes on how these tools are really used.

I do want to highlight, that in his most recent interview with Asmongold, Ion (Head WoW Dev) DID mention that they acknowledge WoW add-ons and develop with that in mind and the comment was made of them being akin to an arms race. So it's one element of the downfall of WoW but more importantly the impact it has had in raiding, which has isolated the playerbase (casuals / midcore alike) as a whole and forced more stringent requirements among recruiters. Double that down with the fact that Blizzard prioritizes their raid scene development and you start to see how the bubble forms where they are putting alot of attention into that element of the game, while casual activities are left by the wayside.

What's wrong with that? Trying to squeeze extra damage is about one of the few ways to make casual content interesting for some. It's not all about callouts and logs.

Remember "Nael quotes were a mistake."

The nonsense bleeds down into the easier content and you have people getting toxic about DPS in dungeon content.

They spend months trying to make this content for folks and it's cleared in a short time. In all that rush to appear to be the best, they got sloppy. I can definitely attest to this whenever I try to blind prog anything in PF. We usually make it about 2-3 pulls in on a mechanic before someone gets impatient and just tells everyone what to do from a guide. Players in this game have no patience for multiple pull content outside of the first week when there's no choice, or ultimate. It's just immediately grabbing as many guides and tools as possible to get it over with quickly and get your reward so you can get onto the next thing.

I don't see how that can even be fun.

We act as though the reason players have completed ultimate is due to add-ons and not the fact that they spent 16 hour days raiding the same fight over and over.

For my own self I'm stuck on PSN client but I do agree with your notion that there might be some overlap of the two groups.

Sounds useful indeed. If addons can keep track of that kind of information and reliably disclose it real time to the player(s), it makes me wonder what other things can be tracked via addons and made for player use.

That's neither here or there though. I'm still baffled why players looking for more difficulty would then actively support and use tools to make the content less so. Alas, I'm just on the outside looking in. I am quite sure there are some addons that are totally innocuous, and could provide some QoL updates if implemented into the game. I believe that is what Yoshi and Co are looking into. I just hope no one is getting their hopes up that there favorite addons will make the cut.
