I wish people would be at least the slightest informed on the topic before making knee jerk responses. Who even referenced player callouts? Good lord the IQ of these forums is rapidly in freefall.Right? TIL: having someone do call outs is cheating lol.
Not saying that's the only mod people use / the clear team used. I literally know nothing about what they did or didn't use... Just find the comparison of Triggers to Cheating highly amusing. Guess I better tell my raid lead to STFU or were cheating haha.

Well, it's moreover people aren't bothering to look into the story and understand what's going on. Of course, information about this is sparse. However, the statement made about Third-Party Tools does stand. Just about all the hardcore raiders use third-party tools to be able to get prog and also see their numbers. Any sort of automation is of course worth a strike if they figure out they're using it, but when we talk about parsers it's mostly a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" rule. Anything else? Grounds to get a strike on your account.
While this is my opinion, I think that they should only congratulate people who do it WITHOUT all those extra UI and HUD things and work with what XIV has. Can we improve upon it? Yes. We have to point them in the right direction and get their people to work on the HUD way more. Some things, such as Slidecasting, are something that have to be taught or self-taught. For instance: I can tell you easily they can make the HUD better by adding certain features that display a job's current major CDs(The 2m ones specifically) so that people know when it's Up Time to do big damage rather than forget when it was and miss out due to mechanics.

Taking down a stream for copyright is... not making an example for disallowance of 3rd party programs. Banning for that is, or taking away legitimacy of their WF.

The MNK pov is still up: link

Yea, the parser topic has been beaten to death. Most people including me, think it's harmless unless you're harassing someone with it like SE has said in the past. The automated processes outlined in the new topic today, botting, or PvP addons are the issues.Well, it's moreover people aren't bothering to look into the story and understand what's going on. The error message tells you it was a manual takedown, not the automated Content ID system. The MNK PoV with BGM is also still up.This is not true. Square only very recently changed their policy due to Dragonsong's release. YouTube being YouTube, didn't update quickly enough. A few others have mentioned their videos being taken down despite not having any addons or callouts.
It's strictly a music issue and nothing to do with third party programs.
SE never really enforced the ban on Answers, Dragonsong, Revolutions and their various arrangements anyway. If they did, T13 and UCoB videos with BGM would also have been struck over and over again, yet it never happened.

callouts by another human player are an additional task/responsibility a player takes on in addition to still having to execute their own mechanics/responsibilities and will always still have the potential for human error

That seems to be the way they may be heading or will cut it off altogether from this one line
"However, if our recognition encourages excessive competition and controversy to the extent that players resort to third-party tools, I regret to say we may have to reconsider making comments in the future."
I think they should consider the fact that people are actively using extra UI and HUD changes that there is an obvious issue with there UI that pushed players to do this.
That doesn't indicate an obvious issue at all. People make mods like that regardless of how "good" the default UI is in a game because different people have different preferences. Additionally some of these things also are tools to monitor other players which is something you shouldn't be able to do.
