Being honest, only time I had a depressing time with this dungeon was when I had a BLM casting random spells for a rotation (hardcasting FireIII during AF, casting Blizzard I, sometimes casting AoE into boss or viceversa, so on), a SAM enabling him that made me regret not jumping out and a SCH who didnt bother even getting the AF gear, let alone buy gear beyond that ilvl. And, of course, vuln stacks everywhere.
The rest of runs so far are smooth for me, so I'm also curious where does OP get the people from. Some a bit slower because of some random non-DPSing healer, but nothing outrageous.
I've seen awful things in Hydaelin trial. Awful, awful things...
The dead ends dungeon is supposed to give you despair. That's the whole point of the dungeon. In fact, that's the whole point of Ultima thule. Actually, that's the whole point of the expansion plot!

Reminds me of a certain healer that I encountered in Dead Ends as a PLD who kept dying to stuffs. Sure we never wipe up till last boss. But when they die again to first Prance, I immediately force a wipe by running into AoEs. They said "No :c You can do this!!"
Me in my mind: "Sorry mate. I ain't gonna play the game for you for 3rd time. I already hard carried you twice in first two bosses by doing your job as I do my own. I'm going to make you do your work. Do not make me do your work for the 3rd time, please. Be grateful nobody bothered to vote you out."
Well to be fair the only thing giving me despair is that minion droprate.
It may be a North America thing. I notice your on an EU data center. The poor DPS players I just grit my teeth and get through it, but it's the blatant just ignoring mechanics that causes problems in Dead Ends because the mechanics actually can kill you unlike most dungeons.Being honest, only time I had a depressing time with this dungeon was when I had a BLM casting random spells for a rotation (hardcasting FireIII during AF, casting Blizzard I, sometimes casting AoE into boss or viceversa, so on), a SAM enabling him that made me regret not jumping out and a SCH who didnt bother even getting the AF gear, let alone buy gear beyond that ilvl.
