The gear gating is artificial longevity. It’s not much different from Tomestone caps.

However, I think they could loosen things like how many coffers spawn depending on the number of players that have already cleared for the week. I think having a single player that has already cleared not affecting the two chest drop rate is reasonable; it’s not as if they can roll on the loot anyways.

So, something like this—
- 0 to 1 players cleared: 2 chests
- 2 to 5 players cleared: 1 chest
- 6 to 8 players cleared: no chests

Could even allow up to 2 cleared players for the two chest drop. It’s not as if it would affect the group too heavily to have only 6/8 rolling on stuff.


I also think it should just be unlocked after the odd number patch comes out. But that’s just me.
