This embodies how I feel and where I have been standing in game since the lottery broke. I have not left the front of the plot in hopes it will just suddenly be fixed before May 16th. I even got the notice that I was entered into the lottery again. I checked the placard, noped out of my refund again, sat back down in the park across from the house, and logged out. I have become one with the elements, me and the cold harsh reality. The snowman stands there mocking, he knows whats going on, he may have even planned this bug from the very start, but I will not let his blank stare that mirrors my own get the better of me.
I am not joking; My routine of the day is to log in each day over my zero-won plot. I run down to the marketboard and retainers, collect my Bom Bokos for the hour, and run back up to sit on the little hill over the plot. I look down from my vantage point into the plot at the red marker where my house could be, and sigh. Another hour passes and a few more Bom Bokos join my collection, while it starts raining. Little puddles of water pool at my feet, and while the umbrella does keep some of the rain away, I now have a wet shoulder. Like you, once a day I run to the placard and click it, just in case something changed, refuse the proffered refund, then put a red line through the date on the calendar. Inexorably but slowly we move towards the 16th and my hopes that once more the development team don't let us down by falling into a sake induced stupor that results in the complete loss of all results. This embodies how I feel and where I have been standing in game since the lottery broke. Aye, partly tongue in cheek, but much not so. Mine consists of logging within the little park across for the plot. I always sit on one of the fence pillars because it was kind of relaxing to run along the fence while waiting in queue when initially awaiting the results. After the news I haven't played much besides checking the placard, I wasn't going too, but the temptation before and even after the date was given still didn't stop me from checking just in case things may be different today. Maybe they just didn't update the news yet, but alas the same message 0 won one bet placed on the lot. I also refuse the refund every time just in case this might let me purchase the plot whenever, (please not too much sake yoshi p and team! I know its golden week please have your fun but don't at the very least lose the results somehow) however long it may take. I than also check to see if my retainers sold anything, replace the items that have, and wait a bit, usually tab out for a little bit to look up news for final fantasy on the jp side because there news is usually posted quicker. I get a bit distracted looking up other stuffs like currently seeing if anyone is talking about something silly on the forums. Tab back in toy with the idea of doing some of my dailies or the wondrous tales inevitably come to the conclusion I really don't wish to play right now, and log back out right in the same spot I logged in.I am not joking; My routine of the day is to log in each day over my zero-won plot. I did go in to test stuffs in a dungeon today as well as see if the animation for Continuation looked strange after realizing I never got my level 70 weapon to even get into Malikah's Well because I was leveling in Bozja/palace of the dead/heaven on high. Went through with the trusts, felt a bit sad at the end like I had been leaving friends behind in my absence, but inevitably logged out afterwards. I know it is just a game and all, but it just stinks. I just wish to decorate with my friends in our fc like we were going to weeks ago it feels. Was it? I know my friend on another server was doing something similar, 'guarding my house in protest' she said. It is adorable, but it also sad.
(an aside my friend who put in for a house on their server can not put the money inside of his fc storage, so I am assuming they locked the currency for those who did win and got the refund so they do not spend it. which did give me a small amount of hope. Though the whole reason he wanted to put the gil in there was so he didn't spend it, but this solution square came up with works just as well.)
