They are regarded as adults in the majority of the real world both modern and ancient as well. I think people forget the average life expectancy used to be 30 for the majority of people.

People also forget that "life expectancy" dosnt mean "most people die with thirty" the life expectancy was so low because(in part) child mortaility rates being super high.


If you have a ton of people die when they are like 5, that will drag down the average significantly
