Even if you are rich and powerful you must know that you have to be of a certain age to join organizations or military service. They are simply too young in my book. It's a different world, a different culture, with different social mores as well. Even in the real world, though most of history, few people would have thought anything of someone very young being in a position of authority if they were born into it or showed a significant competence in it, and there have regularly been soldiers who were twelve or even less.
your book.
Not the eorzea military book.
Then again, they're not in the military are they.
This is the 2nd times I've seen a "things shouldn't be like this because I don't it should be like this." thread in a day.

The other one was "My plate shouldn't be banned because I don't think it's lewd enough to warrant a ban."
And saw a 3rd one of "I got banned for trying to help SE by sending /tell, invite, TT request, party request to someone I think is a bot."
In hindsight, this thread is the least disturbing one.

Having joined and served with a volunteer medical unit starting at age TWELVE, you are sadly mistaken.Even if you are rich and powerful you must know that you have to be of a certain age to join organizations or military service.
16 years old is not a "kid" either. Not by many nations standards.

People are going to argue that there's a difference between volunteering and enlisting, though. There's plenty of volunteer programs for kids these days, but they're not involved in combat in any way.
