Adamantine is talking about the females being small cute girls in comparison to their male counterpart.
Honestly though, they should make everyone happy, 2 feline faces, 2 humanlike faces.
wow.. this thread is still going? lol.. Still approve of the idea of adding female Hrothgar, not that I would play one, but they did give us male Viera so only fair that they should add female Hrothgar.. just sayin'
"Nose to the wind, I go."
Fem Au Ra are actually quite good. Easily amongst the best designed races in 14. Could be a little taller, but it's not a big deal.
I don't see why the developers should cater to those who want a Miqo'te 2.0 - If people want to play a human faced cat then it's already in game.
The only people within the community who haven't been catered to in terms of characters are those who wish to play a beast-like female character, and they should have all the face options available for them to choose, as opposed to narrowing down their choices by adding human faces.
Square Enix have extorted money from Viera and Hrothgar's limitations, but from the outside looking in it seems barely any of that money is invested back into the limited races. How much money have they made from players
fantasia'ing to and from the limited races? We want more race-exclusive hair.
We want them improved, and we want it done within a reasonable time.
1 of each 'type' would be the most fair imo

Granted, considering such diversity in face structure is one of, if not the most prominent issue with male Hrothgars, this is highly unlikely, but hey, one can dream /shrug
I thought both male viera and female hrothgar should have been made, but put on hold. I didn't think the genderlock outweighed the issue of the races (female viera/male hrothgar) being in the state they were in.
I think people are being a lot more open with their opinions on here lately, because the mods seem to be completely absent.
People have always held.. certain opinions in this community. GM enforcement has simply scared people silent. People were always more open in private (discord). It shows who should never be grouped with or talked to. I've already put them on ignore for that blatant bigotry. I find it so stupid that in a game that has a story going into why bigotry and bigots are bad, we have actual bigots playing. You'd think they'd have been so insulted for being called out by the story that they would have quit.
I have been put down for playing au ra, or miqo'te (which I play the most). Like my opinions matter less on here as well, several times in this thread actually.Like, I know I've seen some dumb stereotypical [...] about every race. Potatoes this, Giraffes that. But none come as malicious as people addressed Hrothgar. I've seen malice thrown at Roegadyn as well, which is inexcusable. But since launch, Hrothgar have been treated like actual garbage. This community really needs to stop congratulating itself on being accepting, because even among the more pleasant people there are those who give us the stink-eye just for existing.
I will say there does seem to be a pretty aggressive stigma over "furry" races. I've been seeing it a lot lately when people talk about WoW for example. Like in regards to the new dragon humanoid race - which I think are pretty cool actually. What's the alternative? 20 different variations of humans? I don't really see an issue with it personally, I don't really think about, or care what "furries" do in their free time, as long as they aren't hurting anyone else.

I don't mind a little bit of hunchback, I also don't want them to look like they're about to tip over tho lol.I for One...wouldn't mind the Hunchback. Its a Common Beastman thing because their physiology is different then the average Human/Humanoid. (Of course this is also an artistic choice) If they had a Quadraped run like the Charr and..i THINK Worgan (I swear I saw it) then the Hunch makes more sense cause their spin would be curved and allow it.
But hey, if the Females do fit this "Queen" Motiff, then I guess it would be better if they stood up straight.
The Hair, I hope they get some Braids like the Male Viera, and a Bald option. I want a Badass Amazon Dammit.
Also FemRoe body. If people are gonna bring up how they look in FFX, then you know FemRoe body is obvious. Or at least they should be Tall....hmm....taller Females then Males...that might be interesting.
This next year and a half is killing me...
Women also have breasts which I think more easily will begin to look strange when compressed it's actually an issue even on RPR.
If you look at your character in the idle combat pose you can see that there's weird compression happening turning the breasts into sharp torpedos ( it's worse with some gear than others but it's still consistent ).
And it's because RPR has a hunched back.
Races are options and they're for everyone, no one is being catered.I don't see why the developers should cater to those who want a Miqo'te 2.0 - If people want to play a human faced cat then it's already in game.

Also, no dig. But you're playing a Viera, a human female with animal ears.
I believe they're going to want to avoid multiple headshapes, so the feline faces would just be slightly protruded.1 of each 'type' would be the most fair imo

"omg people like the furry race, they're furries, they're icky and gross and weird degenerates that make the internet a horrible place"I will say there does seem to be a pretty aggressive stigma over "furry" races. -- A squid-faced Highlander Hyur with nothing better to do than to bother people
Meanwhile most of my interactions with Hrothgar have been about either comparing glamours, trying to out-cute eachother, engage in Bozja lore, talk about Radovan\Runar\Bajsaljen\Magnus or make fun of how macho they look.
Are there degenerates? ...do Au Ra have horns? Yes of course there are. Just as much as there are degenerate Elezen, degenerate Roegady, degenerate Miqo'te. Degenerates exist everywhere. It's not because furries are into your race that it's suddenly gonna go downhill.
Sincerely: a furry.
Ehhh, debatable. Viera literally wouldn't exist if they hadn't catered to their fans. If 'catering' to certain demographics when creating playable races didn't matter, we'd all be playing Midlanders.
Playable races in games are tailored for people who like different things. Some like playing as small and cutesy characters, others like big and bulky, some like being fantasy races like orcs and elves, others just like being an average human, and some like playing something that isn't even humanoid, and therein lies the conflict if whether SE will listen to the admittedly smaller group of people that wants to play a female beastial character, or comfort to the majority that prefers sexy human-not-human aesthetics who may play them.
