You think you're not fighting premades but you are.

Queueing automatically is not nearly as seamless easy as party finder nonsense and you know it. Don't put words in my mouth and don't provide counter solutions that are literally worse than the alternatives in every way. It will not "ruin pvp" to have casual be random nonsense time and ranked allow for people to be in actual teams or at least queue up with at least ONE friend.

Not being able to at least have fun with friends in an entire mode is not a feature of an online game, and many other games allow for group matchups and yet are still highly competitive and fun. Weird how that works.
I'd have no issue with group queuing for casual, but blending solo and group queue in ranked play has been a disaster in every game that's ever tried it.
Groups would need their own queue for ranked. Queue times and matchmaking quality would be miserable, but that's the tradeoff.
You're wildly exaggerating the issue of synchronous queuing for the sake of your argument. Have you actually tried it?
Getting in the same match at all is unreliable unless you're playing way off-peak hours, and the teams are randomized.
It can be fun for a bit if you don't mind sparring with your friends or waiting for matches to finish when you don't get the same queue,
but it's certainly not creating a "fighting premades" problem in ranked that would justify opening the floodgates.
