Because to a degree, SGE heal is dependent on the amount of damage they deal (Kardia)So as a sage I have tons of damage skills but as a astro my basic skill does damage of 150 instead of 300 like sage. Also sage has couple more abilities that does damage as a astro i don't. It is really a pain when i try to solo older content or Fates etc as astro. At least white mages have blood lily.




Astro and Scholar are already the two strongest healers in overall damage. In fact, until the Lily changes, Astro absolutely demolished White Mage in this regard. Why in the world are we buffing them? If anything, the separation between White Mage/Sage's nukes and Astro/Scholar needs to be higher not lower.
As HyoMin said, we're seeing what you want play out with the physical range. Machinist's selfish damage output simply can't compete with the raid DPS Bard and Dancer provided. The end result has seen Machinist's numbers plummet to the point it barely has a presence in Savage.

dosis lvl 1 300 potency dosis II 320 potency lvl 72 dosis III 330 potencyAST has its cards and Astrodyne to compensate for the lower potency on its spammable offensive abilities.
Also, the job guide for SGE is wrong and it does NOT have 300 potency on Dosis when scaled down. It starts off at 180, upgrades to 250 at level 54, then only is 300 at level 64.
Dosis starts at 180 and is increased via traits:
Somanoutic Oath
Lv. 54 Increases the potency of Dosis to 250
Somanoutic Oath II
Lv. 64 Increases the potency of Dosis to 300
Then you get Dosis II and Dosis III.
Similar to how AST has Malefic I, II, III, IV and Fall Malefic, and SCH has Ruin, Broil, Broil II, III and IV, they all have 5 tiers.
It's already been explained that AST and SCH's damage buffs make up for their lower potencies. This has to be balanced around 8-man content. So yeah, SCH and especially AST are going to be less powerful in solo content because they can't bolster their damage output with 7 other plays increased damage, it kinda sucks but its not a huge deal, the fights take a little bit longer, but they're both healers so you're not going to die.

astros crown card play would be the 1 extra, if it comes up Lord at leastAs a sage you do not have tons of damage skills. you got the same as the rest that isn't astro
1 nuke (dosis) vs glare, malefic and broil
1 dot (also dosis) vs dia, combust and biolysis
1 aoe (dykrasia) vs holy, gravity and slap of war
1 extra (plegma balls) vs assize, (astro not found) energy drain
whm has a gcd refund as you say- misery.
Ast has macrocosmos and earthly star that are used for their healing power that happen to deal damage
sage has pneuma that again is used as a healing tool that happens to deal damage and toxikon which is used anywhere from 0-3 times a fight. more if there's invincibility period on the boss

(joke)Is wanting a 123 combo to generate 'stings, and a 1200+800 potency Pnuema (20% less damage on 2nd+) on a 60s cooldown too OP? I don't mind if it's changed to need two 'stings to fire off (like a GNB's Double Down)
