In the latest post they confirmed they HAVE done all the testing and have it ready to go, but them want to simulate the rollout first.Because they want to be 100% sure that the fixes and the correct lottery winners are pulled and displayed, and are testing that. Duplicating the bug that caused it, fixing it, and verifying no other bugs popped up came first before anything else.
The entire process is here. I would rather them have everything completely fixed, no more bugs, and working properly instead of them crapping out a half-fixed bug fix patch for more to pop up later and prevent more people from getting housing.

its pretty fun being an oceanic player that had no housing at all from january till now, lottery rolls out, 90% of the houses bug out.
Its going to be 4 months from launch until we actually get a working housing system.
nobody is happy, especially when you see ward 2 goblet on every server is bought out by shell FC's of some goldfarm company.
Hey man, you're preaching to the choir. I've never once supported the housing system and I think what SE has been doing with it (among many other things) just plain sucks. I just thought you linking the same exact post as the person you replied to was funny.its pretty fun being an oceanic player that had no housing at all from january till now, lottery rolls out, 90% of the houses bug out.

Calm down and just read our posts lol
That's a smart and sound decision. Simulating the results even after they think they are sure, just to know that they are sure, is an absolute win for the community. People will whine, but it really shows the dedication the devs have to getting it right. If only they cared this much about Hrothgar hair.In the latest post they confirmed they HAVE done all the testing and have it ready to go, but them want to simulate the rollout first.

Where's the dedication to thorough testing over a year prior when announcing the new system? I'd like to see where that dedication is/went.That's a smart and sound decision. I dont mind the simulation. It's more the fact that they do not yet have the environment set up to simulate. That should have been set up with testing before the lottery was ever rolled out. It should have been started a week ago when they said it was. Taking an additional 2 weeks to set up a sim enivronment is insane, when there has been also 2 weeks since the issue was raised, and it should have already existed to properly test in the first place. That's a smart and sound decision. With the people that were flinging around insults and screeching that they were incompetent and all should be fired, why would you expect they would do anything less but test every possible condition? That takes time.
And just imagine how much whining there would be if they did roll out the fix immediately without proper testing and the same issue happened again (or something even worse happened, which would be very likely)...
