Hyperbole is such an ugly look.since ffxiv doesnt care about housing and all legit people will never have a chance to own a house . theres barely enough plots to support 1 out of every 10,000 players on top of that its a lottery meaning theres a chance even after a trillion tries you will never win because its not like your luck goes up after everytime you lose... you may never actually win and once all plots are taken wait another 6-7 years for a post saying "we apologize for the inconvenience we will be busy working on renaming emotes instead of improving housing thank you for your patience as we fix nothing".
Worst housing system in the world atleast in real life if you live in the most expensive city you can over bid and atleast get what you want after over paying here in ffxiv doesnt matter what the price is you could have multi billion gil but theres no gurantee you will literally ever win a single plot ever since its luck based.
cant wait for all the comments from entitled people already have a plot to bash on this post with responses featuring "oh i already have a plot so you shouldnt complain and pretend housing problem isnt a real problem " even though we all pay to get access to the same game yet housing isnt available for everyone. Even though its advertised as a part of the game .
Meanwhile RMT'ers : [IMG][/IMG]

I'll take, 'they don't care.'
This is where Yoshi P and staff are out of touch with their consumer base. They have made the game easier and better for casuals, great! However, this is a feature everyone has been asking for a fix.
When everyone asked about our instanced island Yoshi P told us to lower our expectations. This tells us he is aware of what we want, but refusing to go down that route. Plus people would pay real money for instanced themed land. The thing they need to be working out right now is housing.
Yeah you got lucky the system chose you and you as a player did not have any affect to put the odds in your favor

Nope. I surely don't have 100% control over it but if you know maths, you can increase your chances more than someone who knows nothing.
This entire system must be purged.
Honestly, Yoshi-P should go even bolder, take down the entire housing system for 1 year and return with something better.
FF14: A Housing Reborn.

against all odds.lolwut? It's not just luck, it's hard work
You like math? How's this math for you? I surveyed all the personal housing wards shortly before the end of lottery entries, and nearly every house had over 10 bidders. With a conservative estimate of 10 bids per house, that puts you at 3600 bidders for 360 houses - which means 3240 losing bidders. And this is at the launch of a housing ward. When house availability is down to 2 or less per week, you're looking at hundreds or thousands of bids per house.
Luck is overwhelmingly the main factor in determining the few who got a house. This will be even more true from now on. Be happy that you got a house, but don't suggest that it was somehow your skill that was the determining factor, and that others can skillfully get a house in the future as well. The amount of housing released is insultingly low for the size of the playerbase.
