they should suffer zero consequence, except to ban them from the content they were cheating in?

I disagree... if someone is cheating in one area, chances are pretty good they are cheating in many areas. the only difference... they werent caught. if you cheat, it is your choice to play the game that way, and as such, are responsible for your actions and the consequence of being banned. the ToS has become more hardline over time because the cheaters push the boundaries into more hardline areas with their activities. you make it sound like they are some kind of innocent bumblers who are "accidentally" cheating or using mods that give an advantage. I dont think so, it is an intentional act, and deserves a ban. not a slap on the wrist.

What they should be doing is protecting value for customers. When someone's actions unfairly affect other customers, what action will prevent them from doing so and disincentive others? That's where they should be thinking.

I suggest increasingly longer suspension from a particular service, because if you risk getting a year ban on the 3rd strike of cheating in CC many will be less likely to do it. Perhaps it should be stricter, perhaps a wider range of services should be suspended all at once. That's OK to tune. But some base level access should be available

Or what about if they get exiled to a prison server with a bunch of cheats? That would still allow them to have access and at least keep SE out of liability.

If someone is using a tool in a way that does not affect others it should not matter at ALL. If it does affect others, how so? Messing up something in ranked content is a major difference and lowers the rank of all players under you, previously changing what rewards you ended up with which has permanent impact on your character.

in that regard, you are aware that FFxiv is in more places than just the US and all thos eplaces have different rating standards that SE and FFxiv must conform to. you have a problem with it, I recommend you take your outrage on morals to those governments, SE is just trying to make money.

Seems like the plates are more hassle than they are worth as it is now. I can see them removing certain emotes and limit how much you can zoom and angle the camera

This is why we can't have nice things, as they say lol. I HAD seen some of the drama though didn't know that it came that far. There's no issue for me if they did take those actions tho. It's just I am software dev that has to deal with a lot of regulation myself and I have also listened to many folks over the years about these issues. This is just my consolidated feedback for the team if they may find any value in it.

If you think it should stay as it is or go another way, that is OK I dont mind haha. But my own goals are as stated and for no other reasons

I did not know. My adventurer plate is tame and I am generally polite in game. I do not use parsers or any of that. I tend to scold people that are harsh to other players over performance.

No, this is about feedback I have after talking to lots of gamers. Please stop trying to twist my words and at least once look at them with the idea that perhaps I am, at least in my own conscience, trying to suggest what I believe is going to work for the game long term. Because I love this game.

I do not think you are here in good faith since you think you want to do it, and you should be allowed.. period. SE doesnt matter and it doesnt matter if its cheating, you should be accommodated. I mean you are allowed to think however you want, however, someone else's IP is likely not a good place to try and push that agenda.

My adventure plate is very tame. I personally feel like it would be a good rule to require spicy plates to tag themselves NSFW and be hidden similar to the chat filter on cussing. But I have no major dog in that fight, they could make any feature however they want and everyone gets the same level of service so there is no liability issue there
