I'll give healer a try up until level 100. If I do not like it, I'm off the role, entirely. Was this what Yoshi P wanted for people like me? Did he assume we were too foolish to take any semblance of complexity? How could such an allegedly open developer act so dismissive towards his own players? The flavor of the jobs I loved so much throughout the franchise were mere husks of themselves. What was once a magical world peeled away to reveal a sterile room of four walls. No imagination, no challenge, only accessibility for the sake of it. I didn't feel welcomed, I felt betrayed.
how does sacred soil contribute nothing to the jobs design? its been since ARR and even without the regen 10% mitigation on a 30s cd is insanely strong.I made a thread which covers this, a little. Totally not a shameless plug. >.>

same with seraph. seraph might just be reskinned rouse but the point of it was to buff the fairy, which is part of the core of scholar.

its worse than rouse as it locks you out of part of your kit and as far as i can tell, still was the wonky timer and occasional ghost. I've always thought its a nerfed rousehow does sacred soil contribute nothing to the jobs design? its been since ARR and even without the regen 10% mitigation on a 30s cd is insanely strong.

As for me
Whm: change plenary to give everyone faith and bravery. Cure 1 upgrades to 2 and have it upgrade when lily is available (alternative, upgrade to cure 3 with its mp cost halved) move temperance back to level 42 where it was before the new coat of paint and get a new level 80 capstone.
Sch: physick upgrades to adloquim, return rouse to lower levels and make seraph useful. Change dissipation so its something that works with the fairy not kills it. Delete dissolve union, combine energy drain and aetherflow. Use energy drain first then it swaps to aetherflow.
Most importantly, bring back selene and eos and give the pets their actions back. Tbh I'm not experienced with sch past level 60 since sb because I never played it in sb onwards
Astro: I don't forgive them for deleting noct sect, cards or time magic. To begin with restoring CO back to what it was. CI can upgrade to Exaltation. Benefic 1 upgrade to benefic 2. Combine draw/play. MA can function with one press from regular draw again. Change neutral sect because its overkill. Delete undraw like it should have been years ago.
Return time dilation, cards, sects (because the regen/barrier healer split was a stupid false excuse to cut more from astro) but combined to 1 button to swap between them
Sage: Krasis can go as can zoe. Just fold zoe's potency buff into Pneuma

It's basically the same generic bubble every other healer job gets with slightly different attributes at this point. Of course it was unique in ARR because White Mage didn't get Asylum until HW, but now every healer follows the same: "Raidwide incoming. Use your bubble" mindset. This even applies to AST with Collective Unconscious.how does sacred soil contribute nothing to the jobs design? its been since ARR and even without the regen 10% mitigation on a 30s cd is insanely strong.

Because every healer needs a tool to use for "raidwide incoming", otherwise they're going to be gimped in raids. It's basically the same generic bubble every other healer job gets with slightly different attributes at this point. We had those in Heavensward, however, healer's rights to such similar functioning abilities (Addle/Virus/Disable) were revoked from the role going into the Stormblood expansion. :/
