Would people have preferred it if the Veena were the Foel Viera? Personally, I think this would have been more ideal and would have made more of a difference between the two tribes. On a few occasions, I've seen people within the community request that Viera should have their minimum height reduced, and I think the Feol would cater to those types of people who want to play a 'short Viera', while the Rava stay as the tall Amazonian tribe.
Either way, I think more differences between all race's tribes could really make our characters feel even more unique.
I wouldn't wanrt Feol because no one seemingly remembers what Feol were. Feol were not "Viera, but short".

Another smaller thing that bugs me about playing as a Hrothgar: I can’t seem to find any glasses or spectacles accessories that look they actually sit on my face, even despite them often having nose pieces, which makes it even more distracting; they’re always awkwardly floating above me and it makes me not want to wear them for fashion sometimes.

Their heads... and the quality of hairs.. Yeah. Viera needs a lot more love from SE. You can be a lot more creative with glamours on miqo'te, it's part of the reason I switched to them so many times: great animations, easy to glam.I have 4 fantasias sitting in my chocosaddle, but I just don't want to. I feel the itch at times when I see tall and beautiful vieras running around but....then I look at their heads and just feel "nope". Funnily enough I don't even use that many headpieces that they can't wear. But it is enough to not be able to wear the calfskin cap or farlander hat of healing or pelts and veils that it just puts me off. I feel like I am playing a complete game now, as miqote. I can wear everything. I can participate in all events and have all rewards usable. I can buy a glam off mogstation without looking at the additional pics to see if it will work for my viera, because it just will for my miqote.
My biggest concern is not being as tall as I want and that sometimes my ears are cut off in some headgear.
Yes, of course they would have. Viera would be much more popular as a race in general if the supposed Feol variant was released. It's a given. Both males and female viera players would have loved Feol variants. Personally, I like the taller more athletic viera we got, I just wish they weren't so limited.QUESTIONS:

yes, even the hrothgars received this helm (okay, it was, again, very poorly implemented).I just simply cannot take the disrespect, disreguard, and dissapointment from you any longer SE! I have spent the past few days grinding my A$$ off to be able to get the new SEASON EXCLUSIVE PvP gear, not even just regular gear, but SPECIAL gear, only to finally get it and be so excited to equip it and what do I discover? Viera are the ONE AND ONLY race in the game that the head gear does not show up on! WHY? I WANT TO KNOW WHY? WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT HIDING THE EARS LIKE I HAVE SEEN DONE WITH 1000 OTHER HEAD GEAR ON THE CATS???????
I have been playing this game since Phase 1 of the Alpha testing and this is the first time I have been so done and over with something so stupidly simple that I am seriously just thinking about walking away and finding something else to play because I am sick and tired of being disappointed over and over and over with something that should NOT be happening!!!!!!!
What annoys me is that they could have done the same thing they did with the hrothgar: copy the helmet of a race, say hyur, and add the ears on top.

Honestly, the ears shouldn't even disappear, they should just clip out and that's it. It's not that they have great mobility and it would be an eyesore. Is that really that difficult?I just simply cannot take the disrespect, disreguard, and dissapointment from you any longer SE! Well then, I have the pleasure of introducing people to the Feol Viera. They were in FFXII-2: Revenant Wings, I enjoyed the game - would recommend it to people. So don't worry, I'm aware they were not just 'viera but short' but thank you for opening the door for me to inform people a bit more about them. "Fran states this variety of viera are often called "the Exiled" as they are seen as abominations by their full-blooded kin. The feol have the longest lifespan among the viera. Fran also states their particular kind didn't obey the rules of the Green Word, which was to stay within the forest villages they were born in." There is more I could say, but there are major spoilers for XII-2 if I continue, so I wont.
While their height is never specified in the lore, bare in mind Feol are not entirely Viera, they're in fact a hybrid of a different sort, so I could argue their height, as well as their ears did change overtime. Also, comparing SE's artwork of Fran and Mydia side by side, it looks like they are in fact shorter than the Rava, and for all we know that is the Feol's maximum height. With no official confirmation, you can't actually say that they weren't a shorter race, just as much as I can't say they were - even though I just stated why I believe so.
You don't have to agree with me, if that's the case we'll just agree to disagreeThank you for your comment! Hope you're all good.
Just a quick note to everyone, bare in mind this is just hypothetical question and nothing will come of it. The current races and their tribes are here to stay and won't be adjusted no matter how high the demand, think of all of this as a 'what if' scenario. I just like hearing different people's opinions, and I plan on continuing asking questions like these to engage with everyone.![]()

Square Enix have extorted money from Viera and Hrothgar's limitations, but from the outside looking in it seems barely any of that money is invested back into the limited races. How much money have they made from players
fantasia'ing to and from the limited races? We want more race-exclusive hair.
We want them improved, and we want it done within a reasonable time.
Ohhh I‘m so hopeful the whole character creation system gets an overhaul (fingers crossed it comes with the graphical update, since I think they already must update textures of the races and stuff).Just a quick note to everyone, bare in mind this is just hypothetical question and nothing will come of it. Would love to have something similar to WOW‘s allied races. Clans of races that use very similar body types to existing ones so the only thing they need to do is give these new clans different face options and maybe emotes. (The whole tiresome workload/adjustments for gear would fall) An example would be an elezen clan that uses the body type of viera or hyur. And *Boom* you‘ll have a really popular elf-like race.

From the quoted picture that was passed around a bunch back when Viera were first announced as a playable race. Who made it is a mystery but its nearly entirely headcanons. "They rarely stay in the woods and tend to venture out more..." They were effectively chased out of the woods by pure blooded Viera and they didn't venture out past their volcano because they weren't exactly seen as a happy accident from either of their ancestors.
The two clans of Viera in XII are the two clans we get to play in XIV. If anything, the ability to make Veena pale inherently gives players the option to make a Feol-like character because in XII both Rava and Veena are dark skinned. If one wanted to play as a Feol, roll a Veena, set their ears to 0 on the slider, and /playdead whenever a Rava looks at you lol
