Given the amount of people claiming they are going to cancel their sub because they don't have a house, I'd say it's more calling their bluff.

I've got a house and I'm still gonna follow through on my sub lapsing. Will it be largely symbolic? Probably. But if (yeah I know, big if) enough people do it at once, it sends a bit of a message. It is voting with our wallets. What most of you don't really get is that it's not just about housing for a lot of us. It is the multiple failures happening in rapid succession, and their massive blunder with the lottery system/complete lack of supply was just the icing on the cake. These tone deaf responses of "k bye" or "just play something else" accomplish nothing other than making the people saying them look like jerks. We (the ones providing our feedbacK) aren't the ones who look like fools at the end of the day. And if they get the message and do something about it...you're welcome.

This seems like a pretty disingenuous way to discourage any real feedback for developers to improve their live and actively changing product.

Animal Crossing is really awesome though in terms of house customization, I will say.

I remember the last game I bought that the dev recently said something similar. This was Phasmophobia, I bought a few copies for friend without realizing it tied in heavily with windows 10 dumb voice system for interpreting what people are saying. I looked up work arounds for friends who have window 8.1 like I also do. The dev pretty much said lol I will never have support for anything but windows 10 and no I wont implement a dialogue wheel either regardless of if players have a disability or no microphone because that is the whole 'experience' to hear your friends screaming at the oh so scary poltergeists. So we all refunded on steam. That was 100 or so dollars. Sure I could go through the entire process of giving everyone a sound board that could hook into the game, but no thank you. The dev could literally take two seconds instead of acting high and mighty about something so simple when someone originally asked because they had issues speaking due to broken vocal cords. Others were having trouble because they had an accent and the dev just told them to sod off. So no thank you. At least final fantasy hasn't just gone full on god complex with their game.

Big big issue myself and extended family have is the lack of competition for mmos. Far far too many publishers looking to go whaling and not enough making quality stuffs.

Left Swtorland because of the many game breaking bugs, it was becoming too much. Wished it had small characters too..

Aion ticked alllllll of the correct boxes and I fricken adored the ascetic. That character creator was thing to behold! Had to leave though when they began yeeting all of my neat Cleric skills.

Now I find myself sitting here on what appears to be slowly sinking ship that has run aground in a ship graveyard. We called for help but the rescue boat just struck an ice burg.

We probably have different tastes I played Aion but character creation was beyond broken %90 of population using bobble head toy character. Also you can make silly looking characters (extremely tall and deformed skeleton) to destroy others immersion.
Ascetic yes, Korean game developers very creative when it comes to costumes and it is same in their every game, their work always top tier.

This is beyond not it chief. Wanting positive change, wanting something to meet its full potential, isn't a bad thing. Nothing would ever improve or get better in any aspect of life if people didn't give feedback, if they didn't want things to be better. This is a game that demands a lot of your money and time, and has an incredible and engaging community, wanting something you've put 100s-1000s of hours and potentially 100s of dollars into, and made friends in, to be better, is not unreasonable. Not wanting to abandon all of that connection is not unreasonable. Demanding people stop doing something they love because you don't agree with their feedback, IS unreasonable.

Well yup yup you could do that and it was most silly. The price paid for maximum flexibility, I suppose. Just enjoyed that I could make my character look exactly as I wished. Sculpt the face and the body per portions down to the size of my hands. I miss it so fricken much! Think they could have addressed the Claymation horror characters pretty easily too by limiting sliders juuuuuuuust a little.

Really really appreciated that they did not choose hyper realistic graphics as well, kinda close to FF14. Like my fantasy when it does not go full uncanny valley.

Aye aye on the outfits too before they lost the plot completely. I think I may have spent waaaayyyy way too much of the time messing with outfits and the character creator. Right now FF14 tis scratching many of the same itches Aion did minus healers. Fricken beefcake Cleric was absolute monster of healer.

Now if something comes along that checks my boxes perhaps I would switch games. At this juncture there really is nothing else.. sadness inducing this be.
